Arguments for God's Existence from Contingency
November 11, 2017 at 2:47 pm
St. Thomas begins his Third Way by saying that "we find in nature things that are possible to be and not to be, since they are found to be generated, and to corrupt, and consequently, they are possible to be and not to be." ( ST, I, 2, 3) ...
I proceed to offer 4 arguments that reveal God's attributes based on the contingency of creatures.
I you have objections or critiques, I'll be happy to discuss them. Thanks.

God requires magic to exist. Provide proof of such magic.

No offense intended but reading through that looks awfully dry and would take a lot of time. If I were eager to justify god belief, I'd go to the trouble. But I don't desire to believe in supernatural stuff, and that takes much less time while requiring no justification.

It's just my personal blog; there are no ads and almost no images, just pure text. But the post linked to, since it discusses all 4 proofs, is somewhat long, so I'd rather not waste the space here by re-posting it.
I'm not asking you to "report" to me as if I were your boss; comment only if you are interested.

You are not eager to justify your god disbelief?
I personally don't desire to believe in rats; they are disgusting creatures; unfortunately, I am forced to believe in rats due to the overwhelming evidence that they exist.

-and when you or anyone else has that for a god, that would be the time to make such a comparison.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I am considering that this site appears to be increasingly more boring and useless with each inane reply by the allegedly "rational" atheists.

Wtf? My OP presents precisely evidence or proofs. Whether they overwhelm you or not is for you to decide. But you refuse so much as to look at them (apparently because it's much easier not to think at all).

Funny, I never claimed to be rational, and the fact remains, your OP has precisely zero discussion points in it.

The two aren't synonyms...and without evidence, "proofs" are just an exercise in grammar and syntax.
I'm familiar with Aquinas. I don't find his arguments compelling, not even as an exercise in grammar and syntax. You could pick one, post it - or your summary. Maybe what/why you think it's compelling, and I could tell you why I don't.
We wouldn't agree, but at least we'd understand each other better. I'd know why you believed, and you'd know why I don't.
