Atheist Forums Financial Report 2017
January 9, 2018 at 10:46 pm
As 2017 was our first full year using Patreon, I though it would be a good idea to show everyone a breakdown of the costs and revenue for the site.
Our Costs
Domain Renewals: $27.64
Hosting: $544.01
SSL/TLS Certificate: $8.95
External Backups: $95.20
Total: $675.80
Our Revenue
Patreon Donations: $498.07
Advertising: $5.14*
Other Donations: $178.83
Total: $682.04
* This was our remaining balance on Tapatalk before we disabled the service for security reasons.
That leaves $6.24 leftover, which we will put back into the costs for 2018. Thank you to everyone who donated, whether you contributed a one-time amount, or contribute monthly via Patreon!

Dude, that's awesome!
Best $5/month I ever spent.
Turning a profit over heah!
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I thought that this was a non-prophet website.

Amazing that you can balance a budget and Congress can't.

This is awesome. Keep up the great work!
@Tiberius: I'm curious if you'd be interested in having a merch shop where you don't actually purchase merchandise, but you have a spot on the website for one of those cafe stores. You could offer anything that the AF logo can be printed on. Shirts, hoodies, hats, pins, coffee mugs etc. I don't believe it would cost anything to have such a set up and people might buy things. I know I'd get a coffee mug.
Just a suggestion

Logo and the URL. Don't want to be confused with that .com over yonder.

Accountability ?
Financial statements ?
Responsibilities towards the membership ?

Oh look at the greedy CEO here, $6.24 is enough to take every member on a trip to Hawaii! WHAT ABOUT MY DAUGHTERS?
