That's fine... but you need more than a rally.   You need thought out and logical solutions. 

What are you proposing, and what difference do you see coming from it?

It's why the NRA always wins.  Because the NRA simpletons want to have guns.  And what does the NRA brass do?  Makes sure the simpletons can have guns.  That place is running on rails.  Even when the NRA simpletons are like "Hey, maybe we should make a couple concessions."  NRA brass knows better, and shuts that shit down, and doesn't give an inch.

They don't have more people than the opposition.  They don't have more money than the opposition.  They don't have the popularity of the opposition.  They don't have the media love of the opposition.  

So why do they always win?  At some point, somebody is going to say "hmm, maybe the people steering the ship filled with us dullards isn't actually acting on our behalf!?"  Because that's the difference.  The NRA leadership wants to keep guns for all their members. And the opposition leadership wants to get money and votes.   The majority of people in positions of power representing the marchers just don't care about the substance of the march.  It's just a tool to be used for their own purposes.

You can almost hear a Frank Underwood monologue as the video of the marches is playing.

A few weeks ago on the Eric Metaxes podcast, they where talking about how the gun lobby has learned from the pro-abortion lobby a stance of zero negotiation.  And the problem is that it does work.  Just shut down any conversation or discussion.

I'm all for discussion.  I do think there is a problem (all though the root of that problem is not the weapon chosen).  I also think, that we one needs to be realistic.  Which is why I ask what one is proposing, and what they think it will accomplish.  And I don't think that spouting propagandist nonsense is helpful.  When someone proposing one thing, and then starts using numbers from something else; my spidey sense starts tingling!  Personally, I think a case can be made against bump stocks, and possibly large clips.  I also think that registration is good, so that if someone is deemed mentally unfit, that their weapons should be removed from their possession.  However I can see the other side and why people like Brian may make others nervous that it could be abused.  You could make harsher fines and penalties for those who bypass the system or are irresponsible with their weapons.

Defund cancer screenings? Lol. I mean I'm sure you are referencing defund planned parenthood signs, but I'm equally sure the majority of pro-life people are fine with the cancer screening part of what they do, and just care about abortions.

The point is that the nutters want to defund Planned Parenthood entirely (not just the abortion bit), and the signs in the comic panel are referencing the other services PP provides.

It is pointing out the stupidity of their position because - you're right - they don't care about or even know about the other services PP provides.  They tend to view it as nothing beyond a facilitator of abortion and they want it bankrupted.  That's why their rallying cry is 'Defund Planned Parenthood' and not 'Defund The Abortions Planned Parenthood Provides But Keep All The Other Stuff'.

It may not be what they care about, but, if they get their way, it is what is going to happen.

Lol then it's you who is being foolish. They want to defund the whole organization not just they abortion part. The whole organization . That would include cancer screening . So yes the comic is accurate because that would be the result of defunding the organization .Which they want to do.

1. NOT YOUR BODY MIND YOUR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS.

2. If you claim it is your GOD'S JOB to judge, THEN STOP FUCKING TRYING TO DO HIS JOB FOR HIM ASSHOLE. According to believers he is supposed to be "all powerful".

3. I never get a good answer as to what the punishment for the teen/or adult female should be. If you are going to stupidly call it murder, if TWO bank robbers go into a bank and one kills the teller, BOTH are charged EQUALLY. Now PONY UP with a punishment for the female OR STFU!

4. NOW I cannot stress this enough. STOP FUCKING acting like those who are pro choice love abortions like it is a keg party. NO WE DON'T throw a party over it. WE would love nothing more than for EVERY pregnancy to be wanted and healthy, BUT THAT is a utopia. All outlawing abortion will do IS KILL MORE FEMALES. Now if you claim it is not our job to play god, then who are you to play god? If you want REAL oppression try Saudi Arabia or Iran.

Now you have no damned right bring this or even firearms up if your position on kids or even the economic stability of their parents is "fuck you I got mine".

ECONOMIC stability, education, health care and livable wages WILL reduce BOTH abortions AND firearm violence BECAUSE that will allow the PARENTS to have more time to be involved in the lives of their kids. 

NONE of what the GOP does or wants will reduce either.
