I somehow doubt that the solution to warfare, hunger, or poverty...is to engage in sexual slavery. The, now, or ever. Similarly, I see no necessity in that trade whatsoever. Then, now, or ever. Additionally, I see no change in circumstances or the act itself as regards sexual slavery between....then......or now.....and have no expectation that this will ever change. It s horrible for the same reasons today that it ever was, and it;s difficult to imagine how those reasons might change...particularly since they have nothing to do with the changing laws or cultures of any specific time. Sexual slavery doesn't seem like a nose picking thing. My assessment is that magic book approves of sexual slavery. My assessment is that you believe in magic book. My assessment is that you feel compelled to engage in slavery apologetics because of these facts. My judgement is that slavery is and always was wrong, even if many people have felt like they had a compelling rationalization to engage in it, even if their laws allowed for it. Even if they thought their god approved...even if their god -does- approve.
