Would it make you feel better if the guy was labeled a terrorist? I mean, seriously, what is your goal with this thread?

I actually agree with Atlas.  And it would make me feel better if people stopped pussy-footing around on the issue of "terrorism."  Anyone who kills in the furtherance of a political cause is just as much a terrorist as some asshole who kills in the name of religion.  Now this guy in Germany may have simply been batshit crazy which is a slightly different kettle of fish.  But at least in Germany he couldn't get his hands on an AR-15 and open fire on a crowded theater.

I would toss religious in with the politicals. Both have an agenda that requires their viewpoint to be on top.

As has been said numerous times here, the label of terrorist is dependent on motive, not whether or not someone is Muslim.

Um, "Islam" is a religion not a race. "Bigot" would apply to skin tone and or religion, but religion is always religion and never a race. You can ditch a religion and leave it, you cant leave your own skin tone.

The goal is to point at the behavior of governments with cases of violence. The stereotype dictates that if the commuter of the crime is from a Middle Eastern heritage or carries Islam as a religion, then immediately suspicions of terrorism are thrown.

But if the commuter is white or from a different ethnicity, terrorism is forgotten as a word.
Neo-Nazies do crimes all the time and use terrorism against immigrants; but nobody is calling them terrorists.
Rightists are doing the same.
Trump just stated also, that "it's okay to bomb a suspect of terrorism, along with his family"; even asked the CIA "why they didn't do it earlier":

It's been a very very long time since I heard about a "non-Muslim" terrorist.

Probably because they are rare. Face it: People who perform mass killings for the purpose of furthering or calling attention to their cause are mostly Muslims.

Timothy McVeigh is probably the most famous non-Muslim terrorist.

We didn't see war breaks in the west yet; last time it turned into a world war and about 50 to 80 million deaths resulted; and that was only about 80 years ago. So the "loose state" in the Middle East is blamed widely on the human race's disgusting blood lust, the western intervention to create "bunkers of eternal unrest" like Israel, the western support for terrorists like "Bin Laden" and the "Sauds" too.

But something I must admit to be fare, is that the west treats its people way better than the east; in this age it's time for Arabs to harvest the years of accepting the hypocrisy of royals and religious institutions.

Trump just re-phrased the same sentence ISIS terrorists use when they target civilians.
A supporter of "torture" during interrogations, who doesn't mind killing the families of suspects, and atop of all: a man who take war criminals like MBS as allies.

Why wouldn't the media describes him with the same title they describe Muslims who do the same: terrorists?

But I thought terrorism has nothing to do with religion. But if a Muslim do the crime based on Islam, it doesn't matter: he is also a terrorist.

Rightists in the U.S were involved in "political hate crimes" that involved "people of the Muslim faith -which is a political point of view also-, but nobody called them terrorists.
