It's okay by the way to say "I don't know" when someone asks you that....you could even follow it with "and neither do you"
It's an argument from ignorance.
Lol i know..no one knows what happened before the big bang but the difference between us and them is that they can't accept that ignorance of pre universe times. They want the answer on the spot...I think when it comes down to it people are afraid of death and what happens after. They desperately want an afterlife. But who would want something eternal like that anyway, you'd eventually get bored. Again they keep saying well "what happens if we die and go to hell." How could a hell or heaven exist anyway?! It's painstakingly a man made concept to satisfy or fear of mortality.

"What if we die and go to hell" is begging the question, and if you don't duck, you might get hit on the head with pascals wager immediately thereafter.

As an ex-Islamic preacher, I would recommend learning Islam, Philosophy, and Social Sciences in the same time. The result will be Atheism.
At least that's what happened to me.

The problem with religion is it offers more than just belief in God in the Middle east in particular Islam is the glue of their society as well and that means everything from advancement career wise to marriage to family and friends.
Not easy to give that up and make things awkward for yourself.

Have them blow themselves amongst fellow muslims to discover there are no virgins on the other side? Sorry, that was in bad taste.
But how is enlightening enlightenable muslims different from enlightening those of other religions whose religiosity is an acquired and happily dispensable trait?

Its pointless to try to convert someone who has no interest in converting. you just come accross as annoying.
Answer questions as truthfully as you can.
Dont try to ram atheism down peoples throats.
But dont put up with their religious rubbish either.
Remeber why people dislike the jehovahs witnesses so much.
You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Let people search for their god, once they search far enough they will find that god doesn't exist (at least cannot be proven to exist)
