Does it ever occur to you, for example, that you could both be wrong?
I think we all know generally what is right from wrong The limited thinking problem with the bible is that Christian think every word is truth and knowledge which creates the greatest Sodom and Gamorrah ever known and we know that bs.
I think a great up side of atheist is they often show grounded skepticism which is very under rated by religious groups. Imagination can be abused too, Although If we lead with your heart then shortly followed with your mind, very little will go wrong in the long run.

Lead with your heart, followed by your mind? Are you sure about that? No, engage brain first.
As for 'atheists lack imagination', you might want to let Pullman, Pratchett and McEwan in on the secret, they must have missed the memo. Oh and also, don't talk such utter shit.
And if you think atheists not running the world has the slightest thing to do with imagination or lack thereof, I suggest you re-open your history book and check again. Nothing to do with people who don't believe in God being persecuted and often executed for saying things deemed to be heretical, I suppose?
Honestly, people can make threads telling us we're being too hard on people, but why should I have to wade through this sort of shit and not have a go? Link them to a website my balls, they can find it themselves if they want to appear less idiotic.

2% of 7 billion is what, 140 MILLION?
Is that another gut feeling,or do you have some evidence apart from personal observation?
My position:The terms 'good' and 'bad'are subjective and quite meaningless as specific descriptions in every day life. I think one could argue exception.EG I think Mao,Stalin, Pol Pot,Sadam Hussein,Idi Amin and some serial killers were pretty fucking evil
So far, I have never actually met anyone I would describe as completely good or completely bad, although I've met a couple close to each.

Well yes if you're a teenage boy, (as our reactive little poster seems to be) except it's not your heart, but a bit further south.

Let me get and ask the stock question then.
So you do not actively seek theists out then?
You do not go to the more religious sites or post in here to dialog with those, if any, who are giving a theistic view?

Negatron. I swim in these waters, not "Christislove.org". The only reason I'd wade into a group of the fundamentally religious is such that it need not be spoken in civil company.
Understood. A good place to be.
Depending on your age I guess.
From where I sit I see them more as a threat. Not to you and I perhaps but you and I will not be here forever to protect our grand children and great grand children from mind control.

Definition.
Passive atheist. One who does not actively seek out theists to try to convert them.
Assertive atheist. One who will actively seek out theist and try to convert them.
Please tell us why you do as you do.
Regards
DL I am definitely a passive atheist. I do not actively seek to convert theists, and there are several reasons for this:
1) On a basic level, I just want to be left alone.
2) I do better in debates when I have time to prepare my responses, and, when I'm talking, I don't. I'm eloquent in my native tongue, and spoken language isn't it.
3) It invites people who, in turn, would want to convert me, and, as we all know, that's just annoying.
4) I probably won't convert anyone anyway.
That said, if the subject of religion does come up, I am willing to state that I do not believe, and will be willing to debate if driven to do so.

Padric and Eldinero maybe upset with me...as they quoted me of saying: Lead with your heart and followed by your mind.
When I quoted: Lead with your heart and shortly followed with your mind.
I agree about atheist keeping Religion on their toes because Religion that rule, lag and lack in science, skepticism and intellect causing much suffering from not following shortly with their minds. On the other hand, imagination dose lead science, not the other way round.

Studies? Name of relevant course(s)? Which institution(s)? Personal anecdotes don't count as 'studies' or as credible evidence, at least not at my university.
PS It's spelled; 'Padraic'.

I don't know what it is Padraic, but people have great difficulty with Q-Celtic and P-Celtic names. Spelling and pronunciation!
