Well the house has steps now, and the electric and plumbing should be inspected today. But just paid to have the work order done for the underground power line from the poll. The electric company said it could be 7 to 10 business days. UGGGGGGGGG!

How did any of this surprise you?

This is all new to me.  I did expect some delays. I have dealt with cable and electric and phone in my last house. But the biggest cost so far outside my house is having to pay rent.

Good news is the inspector was there yesterday, steps are in, and should have a skirt on soon.

There is at least one good thing in all this, I feel a lot more healthy now that I am out of the old garbage dump. It was full of dust and mold and insects. That old house really was making me sick. The other thing I have been doing better is sleeping through the night without waking up. But every damned day this isn't finished is costing me money in rent from my friend and 20 bucks a day in vet hotel for my cat.

I just want them to finish it soon so I can move in.

if you're already feeling better health wise that should make the delays much more tolerable. I'm very happy for you that you're already seeing positive effects and aren't even in the new house yet!

Ok, maybe someone can explain this too me.

Just now I went over to see if the meter had been installed. Not yet. Ok, but there was a yellow county permit taped to the inside of the screen door. I didn't notice until today, that it used the word "Lien" on it, and named a bank or financial company I never heard of. How can there be a lien on it if I paid cash in full?
