All of those people have a choice. They can go to an inauguration, choose a political stance. Gay people are just gay. There's nothing they can do about being gay. So, there is a difference.
Ok... and again, I would agree, and what I have heard from most Christian commentators, is that turning someone away just for being same sex attracted is wrong. You can not deny someone with a Gay Pride short who comes into your restaraunt. This is more akin to The dress at Trumps inauguration.

Because you;re not turning them away for the shirt, but what you suppose it says about their sexuality. Imagine if you and I walked into a baker wearing rainbow tees.
Now, neither of us are gay..and one of us is a christian. You;re a trumper..and I;m a non-voter.....but.....what do you think our hypothetical bigoted baker would think?
What If we then asked for a wedding cake for Ryan and Mo (my daughter, and my best friends son)...?
Is it the shirts, are we being turned down because of our wardrobe decision? Is it the names on the cake?
Civil rights, what are they, and how do they work, lol.

You CAN turn people away for their clothing, RR. I thought that was clear. If someone wears a gay pride shirt to a fancy steakhouse, you can boot them out for not following the dress code.
You just can't turn them away for being gay. I feel like you're being deliberately obtuse here. Turning away a customer based on political views is nothing like turning away a customer because they are gay.

Because no one is saying that you cannot turn them away for being same sex attracted.
And yes, I agree, that I’d if there is a dress code, that you can enforce that rule.

I'm confused, are you using 'same sex attracted' as a euphemism for gay? You can't discriminate based on peoples' orientation, that's it. You can discriminate based on political views, behavior, clothing, etc. It's simple.

I agree, that you cannot discriminate based on sexual preference. I also don’t think that you can discriminate based on political views. I do think that you should not be forced to work on something that goes against your conscience.

Bolded mine. Well, you can do that. Political views are not a class or group of people.

I'm not sure what you're implying.
