Do you ever notice that these people for religious freedom tend to only be for religious freedoms that fit within the confines of their own religion?
For example, they're okay with discriminating against Gays. But dare not say Merry Christmas, and they'll have a hissy fit. They're okay with firing gay people for being gay, but you can bet they'd have their boxers in a bunch the second someone was fired for being Christian. It's all a cover to try to make this a "Christian Nation". Honestly, we shouldn't tolerate Christian Bigotry anymore than they tolerate other religions that don't fit within their personal beliefs.

I for one am for religious freedom for all, as the US was founded on. I’m also for freedom of speech, even when the I disagree with that speech. If anything, what you are describing sounds more like the “tolerant” left to me. About the only time I would support firing someone for their beliefs is when those beliefs go directly against what they are employed for.

I have friends in Wyoming that look like that. I like to point out that they've looked like that since they were six years old.

I get the feeling that the bigotry side of Christianity is going to get heavily diluted over the next few generations, both by the church leaders and pew fillers. I think the hippy love wishy washy totally ignoring the bible side is going to get played up more and more.
Whether Islam will follow, I'm not sure. I think it will be a much more gradual decline, if it happens. The Quran is far more rigid and harder to cherry pick, which maybe accounts for Islam seemingly being less compatible with secular societies. I hope I'm wrong here, and that they manage to have a "reformation" like Christianty did, where people are allowed to just ignore what their books say without being criticized by their fellow Muslims.

I listened to this podcast yesterday "Breakpoint" from the Chuck Colson center; concerning the Masterpiece bake shop decision.
http://www.breakpoint.org/2018/06/bp-thi...ece-means/
A lot of it is discussing what it means that it is a narrow decision, although it had clear majority support. Towards the end, they also discuss a hardware store which came into the news lately who posted a sign saying "No gays allowed". They made a distinction between this and the Masterpiece Bake Shop; which, was not saying that he would not sell to same sex attracted people, but was refusing a particular event that he didn't agree with. Similarly there was another case, with a Florist a little while ago, that had been selling to a gay couple for years, and said that she would continue selling to them, but did not wish to do the flowers for their same sex union (The couple understood and where not even the ones who made a stink about it).
But these commentator's again clearly condemn the shop that posted a sign that said "No gays". They call it sinful and hateful. They did not support this in anyway. It is not about being against a people or discriminating against them, they deserve the same dignity and respect that everyone does, who is made in the image of God. It is about being able to refuse a job, which goes against your conscience. As I've said before; I think that there are subtleties to how one should and should not be able to discriminate and should be able to refuse a job. And despite any technicalities I don't see much difference in those who discriminated against the Trump inauguration. However this type of view is the one I see from most commentators. You will also find Christians who say that they should just bake the cake, and you will find those who do want to discriminate against the people.
However, I'm going by what I see most, and at the very least, it should be acknowledged that there are those out there who are making this distinction and do not advocate many of the things ascribed to them in this thread. Even after being corrected, there where people who continued with the same false narrative. If you are going to have a rational conversation about things, then you need to listen to what the other side is saying, and to address their points. Too much seems like the left and the LGBT is just spewing their own emotional bigotry.

Road, the christian right keeps suing in the hope that they will be granted the right to discriminate against gays. I take it that;s not what you want, but it is what they want., and it makes you look like an idiot, or a slimy peice of shit..the more you deny this basic fact of the matter.
