Yeah, I watched it sometimes. I was a poor kid, so PBS was all the rage. I like him more now that I'm older because I've come to appreciate kindness. I find it hard to always be as kind as I'd like to be. He never did.

Anyone remember that kids show on pbs that featured a lady with a handheld mirror and she would look into it and say the names of children that she saw? There was also something to do with a bee I think.

That can really make a difference I think. Way too late for me but he came to the middle school I taught at once and I swear the younger teachers practically swooned for him and he was a hit with the kids too. RE: Won't You Be My Neighbor

When my older sister was 4, she was invited to be one of the kids on that show. Mr. Do-bee was the bee. There's a wiki on the show. And I was right. It was originally filmed in Baltimore. Miss Sally was one of the hosts and the one that I remember. If I recall correctly, she lived in a very nice part of Towson, MD. I waited with bated breath for her to say my name and felt somehow let down when it finally happened.
My Mom was watching Romper Room when they announced the Kennedy assassination. That’s the only reason I’ve ever heard of it.
Just mentioning that show brings back so many childhood memories for me.
