Yesterday, during the morning and early afternoon, my store was experiencing various power problems: the escalators and elevators were not working and many of the registers were offline. As a result, I was communicating with the associates over the radio to try various courses of action in order to assist them and the customers who were in the store. Now, when I went back to my department to assist one of my team members, one of our customers took me by surprise via remarking that I'm the guy that she heard with the deep, booming voice; she told me that I should be on radio. As a result, I thanked her. However, I had to walk her all the way upstairs to a functioning register where she waited patiently to be serviced. Once the register was free, I gave her an additional discount (considering all of our technological problems and her patience), which made her happy. Afterwards, I wished her well and she also wished me luck with getting our store back in order.
