Anyone can invite people to it, and if the first person leaves, the hangout still remains active (with the remaining people).
It isn't a peer-to-peer system, it's all done via Google's servers.

I am quite willing to make up for my shameful disappearance over the weekend (it was well worth it...  ) by hosting a "Pirate Party" this upcoming weekend. Rum will be on the table, and any other drinks you feel like imbibing at early or late hours are welcome.

Fuck. I hope I can make it. I am sexiest in my pirate clothes. (Sorry. I am writing a grip of about the costumes pages for a "sexy plus size Halloween costume superstore." I have a feeling I will say sexy in conversation a lot until this is over.)
