I do realize it seems to be the topic of the times with seemingly everyone and their second cousins getting their fee-fees in a twisted knot. I just did not really expect this sort of jumpy reaction in these open minded parts.

Yeah. You - seemingly - have your "fee-fees" (?) in a twisted knot over some basement and the German State's inability to deal with it, though I don't know how your second cousin feels about it. Why not just come out and say who p*ssed you off, as well as - potentially - your extended family? I mean - isn't it time for "silent majorities" to "step forward and begin pointing out truths however unpleasant they may be to be made aware of", or some such nonsense?
