It occurs to me that perhaps the US lawmakers feel their lives might be significantly at risk if they defy the 2nd Amendment proponents and NRA etc due to lone "wolves" or even establishment killers.

THE ISSUE behind not getting a grip on gun violence is the same goddamned fucking reason we have not gotten off of fossil fuels yet, the same fucking reason it took forever for car companies to adapt seat belts and air bags. The factories who make these objects DO NOT WANT TO LOSE PROFIT. It has never been about rights, but MONEY. It is the same fucking scare tactics big tobacco used to hide the dangers of their products. NOW AGAIN to any butthole arguing blindly like an Isis member NRA member PLEASE READ and keep reading until you get it. BEING PRO SAFETY is not anti rights. Saying we need to keep them out of the wrong hands IS NOT A GUN GRAB. Just like saying keeping porn out of children's hands and alcohol out of the hands of those under 18 is not a denial of rights. I just Tweeted CNN that they should stop talking about armed holy places and schools? Why? Ask any cop if they like showing up to even just a domestic murder. They are not going to say, "Love it, wish more people would have their heads blown off". Ask any cop if they love approaching a car and having to worry about getting their heads blown off, they will not say, "Wish more people would pull a gun on me, I love getting shot at and I love shooting people." NO SANE COP IS GOING TO ARGUE THAT. The ethical answer most will give you about having to face these dangers is what any sane person will say, "I wish I wouldn't run into this at all". The lady doctor interviewed after the Navy yard shooting said it best, "Please put me out of business". Now, she was being metaphorical in basically saying she would rather deal with medical problems that are not preventable like old age or pre existing conditions, than to have to deal with PREVENTABLE DEATHS. Cops are the same, they don't like going out to a murder scene, they don't like having to respond to mass shootings. Just like that doctor would prefer not to see someone with a bullet in their gut or head. SO AGAIN, I say, if you don't like these events happening, then repeating the same behavior and getting not only the same results, but more of the same, SORRY, you have your heads up your asses.
:personal stuff: I can't remember ever being so very upset about a US mass shooting before. Then again I've never resided on a US board before, where I've also been so warmly welcomed.
We love you. And keep track of your wallet.

Guns aren't the problem. Guns aren't the problem. Guns aren't the problem. Guns aren't the problem. Guns aren't the problem.
Guns aren't the problem. Guns aren't the problem. Guns aren't the problem. Guns aren't the problem. Guns aren't the problem. Huh. No matter how many times I type it, hear it, or read it, it's STILL moronic. Boru
