Faith cannot determine truth, if faith is all you need then every claim of every religion has equal status.

You still haven't really answered the question, what methods do you use to determine the truth of the claim ?

I believe the Bible is the word of God.  It is the only religion which talks of creation in real terms aside from Islam and Judaism.  There are prophecies fulfilled in the Bible hundreds of years after it was written.  Jesus is prophesied numerous times in the Old Testament.  Also, the science stands up unlike with Islam.  I also believe with the new information we find in DNA we find a Creator who is active in His creation which I believe destroys the deist belief.
