Evidence for a god. Do you have any? Simplified arguments version.

You have an exact valued identity.
Nothing can see you exactly are you are but God.
Therefore God exists.

In holy books, this emphasized but not in formal logic format, but everyday language format.

Do we have to go over all the problems with your argument again?

OK, that seems reasonable.

I suppose I do, at least I value it, and while it may be a little fuzzy, at least it is specific to me.

If there were a God and it is omniscient, that would follow. Any omniscient being would be able to perceive me exactly as I am.

But this in no way follows from any of your premises. Just because you make a series of true statements does not mean your conclusion follows.

I can see.
I can see because I have eyes.
Only a being with eyes can see me.
A being with eyes a million times more acute than mine could see me a million times better.
Therefore there must be a being with eyes a million times more acute than mine.

My conclusion is a non sequitur, it does not follow from the premises. And your conclusion is also a non sequitur.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

It's pointless. Believers usually say - "On your knees and praise the Lord or else...".

We keep telling him that, and yet he just keeps saying it, lol.

I won't say that, but I am willing to debate if you're interested, please PM me. I'll leave you to your thread now.

Every day, it seems.  It isn't even an argument.  Its just random shit from his book.

And you wonder why we laugh at your 'logical' arguments...

Seriously, are you that obtuse that you are unable to detect the logical fallacies and unsupported assertions in your argument? Rhetorical question, no need to answer...

Quote:P1 - Your identity is interlinked with perception and requires it (whether brain generates or something else).
P2 - You have an exact valued identity.

I guess I have no problems with agreeing with your first 2 premises. Your wording is a bit clumsy, though.

Quote:P3 - Nothing can see you exactly are you are but God.

This is a basic violation of logic. It is question begging. You are including your conclusion as one of your premises. This invalidates the modus ponens of your syllogism.

Quote:Conclusion - Therefore God exists.

YOur conclusion does not follow from your premises.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
