I'm sick of all this crying.  I'm turning a deaf ear to their cries and simply not coming to any conclusion.

That must be against some Internet rule.

Evidence for ET?

Wasn't the movie enough?

Still haven't seen it.

Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:

"You did WHAT?  With WHO?  WHERE???"

Certainly, but, is such sufficient to explain the deviation?

I think it is certainly sufficient to explain the deviation. Where the quibble comes in is in deductions about secondary phenomenons associated with outgassing and whether these are observed to corroborate the outgas hypothesis. There is certainly reason to believe these phenomenon can be associated with outgassing. But the unknow is how probable are the outgas events that do not exhibit these secondary phenomenons.

I think natural outgassing events that do not exhibit these secondary phenomenons are vastly more probable than alien probes.

1. Something we don't know.
2. Something we do know but somewhat different.
....
1,000,00. Alien probe.

If The suggestion is it is an uncontrolled and tumbling light sail, I can think of another way to try to corroborate such a scenario.  A light sail ought to be very flimsy and low mass.  So it should have very low thermal inertia.   So as it tumbled and presents changing aspect to the sun, it’s infrared signature should show almost no latency compare to variations in the amount of sunlight it receives.  Is that the case?

Which rules out light sails that are working properly.

Spitzer was unable to detect IR coming from Oumuamua, which was a bit odd in itself.

Let us not forget that a light sail large enough to push/pull that thing would occlude a hell of a lot more stars than the rock itself does.

It's definitely a UFO, that's for sure.

It’s pursuasivelg, but not conclusively,  identified.

It is dishonest to say a thing is unidentified merely because pursuasive identification does not say what you want to hear and there still appear to be wiggle room left.    That elevates wishthinking and denigrates critical assessment of evidence and probability.

RE: Evidence for ET?
For a logic robot like me, UFO has never meant anything other than something natural but as yet unidentified.

I still lean towards post industrial/space faring life being so scare and scattered throughout the vast universe that that odds of any 2 extraplanetary species making contact is ridiculously rare. So yeah, no green boogers for me ...
