I can't really stand a lot of gore, either. That's why I can't watch horror movies nowadays. Too much blood and body parts, and I really can't stay.

It seems that many things that bother some people don't bother me. I can handle gore. I can handle mushy. I can handle Nicholas Cage.
But if I don't care whether the characters live, die, have sex, or eat, I'll probably be leaving. Usually, this happens if the overall IQ of the movie is in the low 80's.
Exploding cars and big robots are generally a bad sign.

How about idiot plots. A problem where doing something quick and simple would solve the whole thing, but of course they can't do that because then there wouldn't be a show.
There was a book in an old series I used to read, where the plot hinges completely around the idea that the villains have a need to stay in a localized area, and apparently there is no contingency in case an undercover agent suddenly needs to travel from that local area. The agent goes straight from "Hey, can I skip this trip?", to "I'm going to kill the family I've infiltrated because I can't afford to leave on this trip".

This is the only movie I actually walked out of:
It was a total piece of shit! As a matter of fact, if the theater manager had been available, I would have demanded a refund.

The last two movies I've been dragged to, "Hidden Figures", and "First Man" were shite, as are most movies. There are ways that the women in "Hidden Figures" could have worked on the car without "bypassing the starter", which is complete horseshit, since they used the starter to start the engine. All that crap with the training device that got directly translated to a supposed control problem in "First Man", including massive amounts of noise in the space capsule was complete crap. Having the guy playing Niel Armstrong out in his back yard with some sort of scope every time one turns around in the movie was also pretty damned lame.
Between that kind of crap, and the sticky floors, I don't enjoy movies. The last two movies at least didn't have the sticky floors, since they were in fairly "upscale" theaters. I forgot my earplugs when we went to see "First Man". The movie industry is on a mission to help the people who manufacture and sell hearing aids make a mint.

I avoid this possibility by not walking into any woody Harrison film in the first place.

I've walked out of two movies, quite early on.
The American President and Apollo 13.
They were just too American for me at the time, but I don't know why I didn't expect that in the first place.
I think Australians are just highly critical of all movies, at least my generation was.

It varies for me. If the acting is shite, I'll give it about 10 or so minutes to see if it'll get any better. If not, I'm out.
If the story is shite and/or predictable and unengaging, then I -might- give it a lil more time, but not likely.
If there are repeated elements that are offensively silly, like the burping frog thing in Star Wars "special edition," I'm out. Yes, I probably would've walked out of an original Star Wars movie...IF it wasn't actually the original version and was that crap going by "special edition" nowadays. Why TF was adding a CGI burping frog thing vital to portraying Star Wars the way Lucas wanted it to be?? Then again...Jar Jar Binks.
Overall I try to give every movie a chance. But, if they start insulting my intelligence or leave me disengaged, I'm out.
