You're thinking of Silent Hunter...also a baller ass game. Silent Scope was the arcade one that you always wanted to play. Big kiosk with a plastic gun.

Awww, okay. Watching it on YT. Kind of a cross between Operation Wolf and Virtua Cop.

I -would- add Journey to my list, but I haven’t played it yet, though I am in love with the soundtrack.
And today, I learned that a PC port will be coming out sometime in the near future!
I expect my list to change soon

My mom is an old school gamer. Never into Tetris, but the older kids games are her jam. Mario anything, Donkey Kong (the later versions with story mode), banjo kazooie, etc.

I really liked Defender. The ski lodge at the hill I went to in high school had a Defender machine that if you kicked the coin box with your heavy ski boots, it would give you free games. We probably spent more time playing Defender than actually skiing.

This game felt like about 100 years from the future to me, given the pixellated graphics that were the norm at the time.

I remember that feeling. You were considered a video game master if you could finish it with a quarter or two. I revisited it when Sega CD came out and remember playing it at a friend's house and we must've been at it for an hour or two taking turns and trying to navigate through it. Revisited it one more time when it was released on Steam. I did better that time. I think I got through it at right around 30 minutes. Of course he Dragon wasn't even the hardest part. 
Honorable mention to Dragon's Lair 2: Time Warp and Space Ace.

1. Baldur's Gate (by far, the best video game ever made). I and II are essentially one video game
2. Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
3. Super Mario Bros. 3
4. Fallout 2
5. Final Fantasy 6

Good list. I feel the same way about KOTOR as you do Baldur's Gate. Of course they're both Bioware. I've finished KOTOR 14 times. Most games I only go through once and on to something else, but that one kept me engaged.

Never played KOTOR. Unless you're talking the original trilogy (which I love), everything "Star Wars" seems a bit fabricated to me. That's just my opinion... I'm more of a Trek guy, anyway.
I've never played KOTOR, so I'm not knocking it at all. The only Star Wars game I liked was Rogue Squadron. Awesome title. I played the fuck out of that game.
