Sharia law anyone?

I have no sympathy or respect for those who post or support this stuff.

It does not help anyone... only to fortify xenophobias. (like the fuckwit yesterday)

Most of the points are not even based on Islamic sentences from any sect. Revising the list, here are the details:

Quote:• Theft is punishable by amputation of the hands (Quran 5:38).

True.

Quote:• Criticizing or denying any part of the Quran is punishable by death.

False. (Quran 2:256)

Quote:• Criticizing Muhammad or denying that he is a prophet is punishable by death.

False. (Quran 2:256)

Quote:• Criticizing or denying Allah is punishable by death (see Allah moon god).

False. (Quran 2:256)

Quote:• A Muslim who becomes a non-Muslim is punishable by death (See Compulsion).

False. (Quran 2:256) , also (Quran 5:54)

Quote:• A non-Muslim who leads a Muslim away from Islam is punishable by death.

False. (Quran 2:256) and (Quran 60:8)

Quote:• A non-Muslim man who marries a Muslim woman is punishable by death.

False. Notice that no Quranic -or even Hadith- was given as evidence. The writer is lying. Trolling; perhaps?

Quote:• A woman or girl who has been raped cannot testify in court against her rapist(s).

False. Notice that no Quranic -or even Hadith- was given as evidence. The writer is lying. Trolling; perhaps?

Quote:• Testimonies of 4 male witnesses are required to prove rape of a female (Quran 24:13).

False. The Sura is not even speaking about rape; but the context was speaking about the incident of the Ifk, where Mohammed's wife was accused of adultery.

Quote:• A woman or girl who alleges rape without producing 4 male witnesses is guilty of adultery.

False. Notice that no Quranic -or even Hadith- was given as evidence. The writer is lying. Trolling; perhaps?

Quote: • A woman or girl found guilty of adultery is punishable by death (see "Islamophobia").

False. Notice that no Quranic -or even Hadith- was given as evidence. The writer is lying. Trolling; perhaps?

Quote:• A male convicted of rape can have his conviction dismissed by marrying his victim.

False. Notice that no Quranic -or even Hadith- was given as evidence. The writer is lying. Trolling; perhaps?

Quote:• Muslim men have sexual rights to any woman/girl not wearing the Hijab (see Taharrush).

False. Notice that no Quranic -or even Hadith- was given as evidence. The writer is lying. Trolling; perhaps?

Quote: • A woman can have 1 husband, who can have up to 4 wives; Muhammad can have more.

True.

Quote:• A man can marry an infant girl and consummate the marriage when she is 9 years old.

This is highly debatable between Islamic sects and even Muslim individuals.

Quote:• Girls' clitoris should be cut (Muhammad's words, Book 41, Kitab Al-Adab, Hadith 5251).

Sunni sentence based on the Hadith totally. This is Sunni-specific sentence.

Quote:• A man can beat his wife for insubordination (see Quran 4:34 and Religion of Peace).

See my topic on this:

https://atheistforums.org/thread-56875.html

Quote:• A man can unilaterally divorce his wife; a wife needs her husband's consent to divorce.

True. But the wife can make him divorce her if she went to court.

Quote:• A divorced wife loses custody of all children over 6 years of age or when they exceed it.

False. Notice that no Quranic -or even Hadith- was given as evidence. The writer is lying. Trolling; perhaps?

Quote:• A woman's testimony in court, allowed in property cases, carries ½ the weight of a man's.

True, only in financial matters, because -as I think mostly- ancient women didn't know math like men did.

Quote:• A female heir inherits half of what a male heir inherits (see Mathematics in Quran).

True. Men are supposed to be the fathers, they are supposed to be gentlemen who spend on the wife, kids and the house. Thus they need the cash more.

Quote:• A woman cannot speak alone to a man who is not her husband or relative.

False. Notice that no Quranic -or even Hadith- was given as evidence. The writer is lying. Trolling; perhaps?

Quote: • Meat to eat must come from animals that have been sacrificed to Allah - i.e., be "Halal."

True. Not just that; I can't eat pork or eat something that still has blood.

Quote:• Muslims should engage in Taqiyya and lie to non-Muslims to advance Islam.

False. This is a Shiite sentence:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taqiya

I just felt the urge to respond to the list; ignoramus. I know that you don't think it's true.

Read The Quran have you?

There are one billion Muslims world wide.  In my experience most Muslims seem to be about as devout as say your average Catholic..IE Not very.

The word 'jihad" simply means 'struggle' and refers to the struggle to live a good life, although violent struggle  is included..

The five pillars of islam:

The 'Five Pillars' of Islam are the foundation of Muslim life:
  • Faith or belief in the Oneness of God and the finality of the prophethood of Muhammad;
  • Establishment of the daily prayers;
  • Concern for and almsgiving to the needy;
  • Self-purification through fasting; and
  • The pilgrimage to Makkah for those who are able.
http://www.islam101.com/dawah/pillars.html

A interesting site, worth a look if you are as ignorant  about Islam as you seem to be.
Please. All religion is created for manipulation, control, and war. Everyone knows this, but you don't because apparently you have been brainwashed. As for me being ignorant, I think you should understand how violent a religious zealot be when a bunch of Muslims think they know how to treat women, Europeans, non Muslims. Sure there maybe a few golden eggs, but most Islamic people: the Suni and the Shia are psychopaths that go into a murderous rage when someone doesn't follow their laws or customs. Much like Christianity but Christianity is more watered down than it was in the past thanks to a wave of science and reason which they don't want to admit.

Oh dear. Two sweeping generalisations, both unfounded, followed by an ad hominem attack

My position has long been that organised religion is the greatest confidence trick ever inflicted on the human race.   Yes, about power and control of which war is often a part., but I won't support the position that reason for religion is war.I think that position is simplistic and narrow minded..

'Everyone knows this' Well no, that's not quite right. That claim cannot be reasonably made even on this forum . Nor do I suspect billions of believers know any such thing. However, if you can prove that, knock yourself out

That I disagree with what is  essentially an ignorant and bigoted position does not mean brainwashed. It actually suggests that I'm informed.

You have made some rather foolish generalisations in which you demonise a billion people. THAT is called bigotry Sunshine.  Of course you will hotly deny such a claim. Bigots always do.

How did I become informed?

First I lived in a Muslim country, where I had many muslim friends. Not only were they not fanatics, they weren't even very devout, with most of the even drinking alcohol.  Women in the village I visited did not wear head coverings. The burqa is not seen on locale women in Malay villages or in Kuala Lumpur. Religion was simply not discussed by my friends just as it is not discussed socially in Australia.

My knowledge of Islam started at University, where I read the Quran as background  in studies of parts of  Islam . Those studies were part of  a degree course in Social anthropology.

Now ,I don't know if you are really as ignorant as your post suggests. By all means tell me from whence comes your expert opinion on Muslim and Islam.I am of course  aware you could be quite well informed yet still be bigot.

I expect you to  angrily deny my impression that you're a bigot.  That's fine, you have the last word. I have nothing further to say on this matter.

U.S.America struggles with keeping the Christers at bay. But at least here I get to say "Fuck
Muhammed!" and "Allah can kiss my ass!" . "Fuck the Holy Spirit!" on International Blasphemy Day is my favorite. I can't have this much fun online under religious law. Never mind the bedroom.
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!

Indeed. You have a massive number of scholars who belong to different Islamic schools of thought; the most famous are the Sunni and the Shiite schools.

Every school has branches of variations, so for example, "Wahhabism" is branched from Salafi Islam, which belongs to the Sunni main sect.

Count how many scholars are there for every branch, then for every sect, then how many books were written to justify the beliefs of every branch.

It's a massive field of study. The 1 billion Muslims do not belong to the same thing; or else you wouldn't see them without an empire.

So in other words you have been brainwashed to see Islam is a religion of peace. Also you keep using literally terms to boost your sense ( I could say the same with your grammar), that the people who you were with were not trying to convert you with kindness, though it did work at least to make them out to be "holy" and sane. If you studied history like I have you know that all religion is manipulative and controlled by religious zealots in power or people who used the masses. Knowing this doesn't make me a bigot, it makes me knowledgeable about religion and human involvement in religion. While Islam may have some truths it's as old and outdated like Christianity, Hinduism, Paganism, Mormon, and Jewish (grandfather of all Abraham religions), etc.  It's mostly the fan clubs I don't like that rally to the written outdated pages like flies to a corpse and even the best people will turn into zealots in a blink of an eye if their outdated religion is attacked or not worshiped. Indeed in many countries atheist were attacked and lynched and now in modern times when we are becoming more skeptic do religious people feel oppressed and start lynching again because of the little voice in their head stating their doing gods will. How sane is that? How good is that? It is not and people like you who went to a Islamic dominant country and come back "enlightened" are only fooling yourself when you deny yourself of the fact every religious sect has dirt on them and their worshipers deny the dirt and favor political practices like when Americans say that "they live in a great country." If you truly are a social Anthropologist you would see the human condition in all forms of societies and be able to point out and outline the negative aspects of a society using social dogma to persuade people in their acceptance of societies lie. The people themselves have a code to follow and underneath their kind exterior they have inner beasts that can be channeled under a "good" and "holy" leader. Examples are of ISIS, the KKK, the Crusades, the Witch Trials, Waco, and much, much more. Unlike Christianity which as many sects, Islam practices invoke hours and hours to worship a god that they belief is in want of such practices and the labor to which to worship has surely psychological effects even in a multi cultural and modern world like ours that brainwashes and labels all those that aren't Muslim are unclean savages. You may disagree that not all are unclean savages but most of the fan club do and as you try to get friendly there will be a time where you will be proven dead wrong. The mentality of the far left that wants to protect Muslims has positive effects but like all things the far left do it becomes negative really quick with the oppression to call people bigots if their very critical of Islam. Muslims use this to convert more and control more while the far left blinds itself in it's political war. Muslims like Christians try to defend their holy book with misrepresentation, but we all know what bullshit looks like. So don't act all high and mighty just because you studied a Quran, turns out your bias is in the way of truth.

Quote:I have sex with three different women each week. It is the most profound element of my life, the love making I enjoy. It would be unthinkable for me to go without it. I love my wives and feel closeness to them of unparalleled magnitude. We share the profoundest moments and thoughts. Surely they too must, then, at least desire such a situation for themselves, having sex with several men in a week...If I couldn't bear to go without that then how possibly could they! But...but...being a monkey man and given internal fertilisation it would be unbearably nightmarish for me if my wives were to have sex with other men! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH right, mandatory burkas, no leaving the house/country unaccompanied, no driving, FGM so they get no pleasure from sex and...and..and...the rest! No power or freedom for women in my neighbourhood! Did I say I love my wives? Signed, teatowel garnished dictator.
