'Nazi' and 'republicunt' are political attacks and wouldn't fall under the rule (though I'm not overly fond of either term).

There you go.... should these be covered as well?
Did you not read the rule?

My question is: should the rule be amended to include these?
There, you guys know what an amendment is, right?

I was merely pointing out the the equality of outcome on an atheist forum necessitates some less than equal opportunities for the religious sect, which I 100% understand and am OK with. I wasn't demonizing anyone, as I think most forum members and the staff do a great job.

Why would you do that? I'm Christian, I have a martyrdom complex remember ...
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

It's not implicitly banned to my knowledge but is in the best practices section for theist members. (bold mine)
As I said before, the word carries bad meaning outside friendly circles. One of my friends has the nickname (RL not internet), "Mad Nigga", he chose it because of a Portuguese Rapper that had the same moniker. He is not mad though, yet he is black. It carries no ill meaning, it's a 'hood thing.
I for one have no problem with this. I don't use the words here, since I am not friends with any of you, I can't be friends with people I never met IRL, it takes a little more than than text on a Chrome window, regardless of niceties et al.
At any rate, it is a private forum, and ultimately the decision of its owners. The problem here is that said owners should drop the pretenses that it's a democracy and objective. Nobody believes that.

Honestly, I mean if I’m going to be really really truthful with you, I think you and everyone else who keeps pretending like they can’t tell the difference between an average insult and the n word are complete fucking liars. I call bullshit.
If you like to jerk off over your keyboard whilst giving us a coy smile “teehee, I think calling someone ugly and calling someone a n*gger is exactly the same”, well whatever blows your skirt up, but I think you’re lying.
I dunno what you mean here - but it sure sounds like " if you don' t just shut up and agree- you'te an idiot or a liar"..
Sorry you feel that way.

Correct, nobody believes AF is a democracy because we don’t hold elections. And if you can show me an objective decision tree that:
- deals with ephemeral toxicity
- deals with bad faith abuse from both new and old members
- deals with sudden attrition/loss of one subset of members due to hostile conduct from another
Then we’ll talk about installing such if it passes the smell test.
Such doesn’t exist because we don’t have access to all the information, can’t be inside your head and even if we could, a sufficiently smart troll can bend any set of strict requirements with simply well practiced sophistry.

Are you able to grasp why a political viewpoint is manifestly different from race, gender, sex and sexual orientation?

Can we hold a vote on whether AF is a democracy?

While this is true, the pretense it is not. So perhaps dropping that would be beneficial. I was accused of stepping down because of trolls, that I "didn't get my way. Well, assertions generate assertions, don't they?

I'm unaware of any pretense that this place is either democratic or objective. No one's ever held that out to me. Privately held entities are rarely if ever democracies and, given the nature of a message board, subjectivity is going to happen regardless.
This is a GOOD thing.
