Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Sugar, most words do not have such wildly different definitions attached to them either, so bullshit.

Most words don't sugar but guess what? DING DING DING "god" does!

Ten definitions in all, but hey why specify.. it's only ten different definitions, right?

Alright, let's try an experiment.

I'll make a new word: Gooblebloc

These are its definitions:

1.A rare type of cheese
2.a flying pink elephant
3.plastic
4.air

Okay, it's rational to claim that I lack a belief in Gobblebloc because I don't need to specify what I'm referring to!

Oh, he thinks he's making an intelligent argument. How cute!

Now let's go look at the definition of a real word that I helpfully posted a page or so back.

Quote:God

noun
1. the one Supreme Being, the creator and ruler of the universe.
2. the Supreme Being considered with reference to a particular attribute: the God of Islam.
3. ( lowercase ) one of several deities, especially a male deity, presiding over some portion of worldly affairs.

interjection
10. (used to express disappointment, disbelief, weariness, frustration, annoyance, or the like): God, do we have to listen to this nonsense?

Notice how they all reference the same general concept, that concept being adequately defined in the noun subsection of the definition.

If you can't understand that you may want to just keep banging your silly little drum till you get banned. That's what the crackpots generally do here. You also may want to work on your reading comprehension.

Yeah, those are some wild definitions. Much like yours in fact, Cheese, Elephant, air...
Yep, I see it now. Thank you for lighting the way......Angel

The 4 of the 5 nouns all say "supreme being", the other says "deity", which is the same thing. How are they so wildly different, snookums?

When you lack a belief in something, you must specify what you are talking about. A general concept doesn't cut it, deists think that "god" is the universe, hell, some people think that god is humanity. You have to specify when you're talking about a word that has vastly different meanings to different people.

Anyway, if we were to assume that it's a "supernatural god". How would you define it? How can you conceptualize it if it is outside of reality?

Doesn't matter if "god" has a thousand definitions. If each person decides for himself what that definition is - thereby eliminating all other definitions - he/she can then logically and rationally choose not to believe in god.

I really don't see what's so hard to understand? Clearly, your theory is very important to you because it validates the way YOU have chosen to view this topic. It's not valid - in any way. The arrogance of some people.

Nope, having proved you to be a silly bugger, I'm done. Enjoy your little verbal circle jerk.

That's pathetic, how can you live with being so intellectually dishonest? God forbid someone challenges your worldview... LOL
