Monday is my favorite day of the week. I get together with my brother and sister for lunch at Mom's house. The four of us play Mahjong in the afternoon. After my siblings leave, Mom and I usually watch a movie while we have supper.  Hungry

You don't have such power. I usually defeat Mondays by doing just that. The hardest is the friday, when you are battle tired as fuck.

I vote to remove wednesdays.

The widespread and (to my mind) justifiable contempt for Mondays can be directly laid at the door of the Abrahamic religions.  The Jewish, Muslim and Christian sabbaths all occur Friday through Sunday.  All of these imply rest and religious observance, and - if I'm being cynical - rest for the purpose of religious observance. It is therefore a convenient break between one working week and the next.

So, the next time your alarm clock goes off and you mutter, 'God damned Monday!!', you're more right than you know.
