After seeing the bit around :58, I just don't know about this movie.
The producers have literally resorted to using cheap, funhouse thrills to tell a story that doesn't need them.

All of that goddamn extra actually makes the tale LESS terrifying.

Excuse me...I can't talk about this anymore. I'm getting a little verklempt.

I haven’t seen the remake and have no desire to.

The first part started out with potential, but wound up being was very, very bad.
I'm compelled to watch the follow-up nonetheless though because It's one of my favorite books.
