New Zealand was home to the Haast Eagle, one if the largest eagles ever identified. And then they chose a rather ugly flightless bird as their national symbol. NZers are a strange species. I've seen a fern they use as a symbol around a lot.

It's cold as hell today. Wtf?
Jesus--I'm in a full-length nightgown, a big fluffy robe, socks, and under a sheet and two blankets and I'm still freezing my ass off. I hate to turn my heat on this early, but good grief... It feels like winter is already upon us. Thena make fire.
If you had to eat peanut butter at every meal - you would be sick of it in a day or two. This is also true of any food except crisp bacon.
I'm partial to a bit of bacon with my bacon, to be honest. I've eaten more bacon on my trip to the Grand Canyon than I've eaten in the year previous, I think.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
