Splitting of the Moon
October 20, 2019 at 10:29 pm
Really, how can Muslims believe such nonsense that Mohammed split the Moon? Shouldn't that be the evidence that Quran is just a book of lies?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

There are people alive today that believe the world is flat. People will believe anything if it's reinforced long enough.

Spitting on the moon would be more impressive.

I guess Jeebus walking on water is same in a way that it's impossible, but it's a small scale miracle compared to splitting the Moon which everyone in the world on the night side would see.
