I watched a few Netflix horror movies yesterday. "I am the pretty thing that lives in the walls." (Dumb. Atmospheric, but dumb.) "The Invitation" (not bad, not great) "The Blackcoat's Daughter" (Actually fairly decent)

The Last Movie You Watched

I rather liked this short. The acting's bad enough, that it actually lends the film a sort hilarious charm.
Lol...I wonder what Stephenie Meyer would think?
I just saw Terminator: Dark Fate - the first movie I've seen in a theater in 20 years. I thought it was the best since Terminator 2 but that's not very high praise. It was okay but no better than that. It'll probably be the last Terminator movie as it looks to be bombing at the box office. There is doubt that will even break even.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
Albert Einstein
The Death of Stalin.
A dark comedy. A hell of a lit darker than I expected. 5/10 Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
Loved The Death of Stalin. I'd probably give it a six out of ten simply for originality and how dark it is. It wasn't a revelation or anything, but I'd watch it again.

Well, there was much calculating on white boards, and the terms "particle acceleration" and "Higgs boson" were mentioned a couple of times, so I guess this short film meets the standard of sci-fi....lol.
It's really just more of a cheesy romance and preachy testament to making the most of the time we've got, though.
"Iron Sky: The Coming Race". Hitler on a T.rex.
Robin Hood (2010, the one with Russell Crowe).
I didn't hate it nearly as much as I expected. It was well shot, the acting was good, and the crashy-bangy-swordy bits were very well done. But it played so fast and loose with both the history and the legend, I wonder why they bothered to call it 'Robin Hood' at all. There's really no connection with the classic Robin Hood story until the very end of the film. For the rest of it, it seemed to be just one of those pseudo-historical dramas. 6/10 Boru
