Expand that with regard to the hijab. Perhaps that might lend a machete to your intellectual thicket.

But you neglected the massacres against Muslims in Myanmar:
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/12/28/world...ingya.html
Quote:UNITED NATIONS — The United Nations General Assembly has approved a resolution strongly condemning rights abuses against Rohingya Muslims and other minority groups in Myanmar, including arbitrary arrests, torture, rape and deaths in detention.
In a 134-9 vote with 28 abstentions on Friday, the body approved the resolution, which also calls on Myanmar’s government to take urgent measures to combat incitement of hatred against the Rohingya and other minorities in the states of Rakhine, Kachin and Shan. General Assembly resolutions are not legally binding, but they often reflect world opinion.
.
.
.
The Assembly also cited an independent international fact-finding mission’s documentation “of gross human rights violations and abuses suffered by Rohingya Muslims and other minorities” by security forces, which the mission said “undoubtedly amount to the gravest crimes under international law.”
Your likes are a shame to humanity, I consider your obsessive anti-Muslim posts another drop of shameful poison regarding freedom of expression; you even support murder and genocide just to satisfy the sickness in your heart.

Wow, you really ramble, lie and think up any strawman you want - like I'm anti Muslim because I said Buddhists hold muslims in camps Myanmar. You really need to get your head checked.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Unfortunately, you don't just get to cry racism or Islamophobia any time someone criticizes your religion. That's an incredibly childish thing to do and is quite an insult to people who have actually experienced discrimination on the basis of being Middle Eastern, or whatever some racist moron deems what "Middle Eastern" looks like (racism doesn't require intelligence after all, collectivist ideology that it is), or on the basis of being a Muslim. I have nothing against Middle Eastern peoples or even Muslims. In fact, the vast majority of Muslims are moderate in their beliefs and don't follow their silly book any more literally than most moderate Christians do. Really, moderate Christians are alarmingly similar to moderate Muslims in a lot of ways... or at least it would probably be alarming to a lot of less moderate Christians. Irony can be funny!
Islam, I do have a problem with, mostly because one has to suspend their ability to think logically and critically in order to buy into such monumental bullshit, once again, just like Christianity.
So, no dude, calm your tits. It's not racist or "Islamophobic" to point out that there's a lot of fucked up shit done to women throughout the world that is directly linked to the hijab and the so-called "modesty" of women. Once again, are most Muslims bigoted pieces of shit who want to control what women do, wear and think? I'd say no, obviously they are not. I am like moderate Muslims in that way. I do not wish to control what a woman does, says or thinks. It's really that simple. But it's not "racist" or "Islamophobic" to point out that a lot of extremist Muslims want to do exactly that. Just like it's not racist to point out that a lot of extremist Christians want to do exactly that.
Suggesting that a woman needs to be modest by covering herself is so insanely disrespectful. Women don't need to do shit other than exactly what they want to do, within the confines of the law, of course, and some social pressures (though as we're discussing here, some social pressures can clearly be destructive rather than constructive). And if what they want to do is wear a hijab, I think that's unfortunate, but unlike some Muslims, I am not going to do anything to stop her from doing precisely what she wants to do, even if I think it's ignorant and willfully so towards the countless numbers of women who have been hurt physically or otherwise for not conforming to this tradition.
It's honestly bizarre to me how you can so easily deny such a clearly sexist and patriarchal concept, and that you can truly deny the plain and simple fact that women are brainwashed, from a young age, to believe that the hijab is good for them. Once again, it's much like the Mormon child who wears his silly longjohn underwear in fear of what will happen if he doesn't - an eternity of being burned and tortured and clawed away at in HELL! He's brainwashed into thinking that this is something that he must do, and furthermore, that it's his own choice to do it.
It's honestly bizarre that you think this way.

Then again atlas, you'll always have bel to back you up. Though, I suspect he'd defend any religion, religious concept or religious person, so long as he was defending against the "attacks" on an atheist. Our friend Bel seems to defend religion to the point of fault. It's a strange behavior I've never witnessed in any other "atheist."

It looks like you misunderstood my apology in the post above:

The apology was for a very specific post I made:
https://atheistforums.org/thread-60116-p...pid1955396
The apology was for "one post" not for "my whole posts in this topic". You are a bigot, so as the member Fake Messiah, both of you are xenophobes, both of you are obsessively justifying bigotry against Muslim women -and Muslims as a whole-. I didn't say sorry to this.
It looks like you badly misunderstood me; I'm not playing kindergarten hide-and-seek with you. The member Belacqua showed a very decent opinion -and so many of non-Muslims in our world declare it-; while you showed a very shameful act pointing to sever sickness in your heart, you -and Fake Messiah- are nothing but anti-Muslim bigots that can't handle a woman doing what she wants with her body.

Why do you keep insisting that anyone has objected to this? Do you have anything...other than this...to say about the objections people have explained to you?

Once again, your claim that @"FakeMessiah" and I are bigoted against Muslims is totally unfounded, so I hardly even feel the need to defend myself against such a nonsensical statement. So your talk of me "obsessively" justifying anything is just silly man. Total nonsense. I've calmly explained to you my point of view, and you clearly disagree - which is okay. People are allowed to have different opinions.
But don't just cry racism or bigotry because you cannot properly defend your own position. That's just childish. So, let me repeat myself, so my views are here in black and white, and cannot be twisted or misinterpreted by anyone:
My main issue with Islam, just like my main issue with Christianity, is the suspension of logical and critical thinking that is required to buy into the fairy-tale stories of both religions. My issue with these systems of belief is just that - the "belief" part. Beliefs that are backed by no sound rationale or empirical evidence, but rather blind faith - because they read something in a book that was written a long time ago. That's silly, and that's not how the world works, at least not successfully.
The iPhone wasn't built on faith, ya' know? Maybe hope... or maybe vision. But faith? No.
So, despite your excited ranting about Fake and I being "bigots," that couldn't be farther from the truth. I have no issue with the woman or man who practices Islam, rather I have issue with the beliefs themselves. I don't really care if you're Turkish, or Italian, or Syrian, or American (by nationality), or Chinese, or Danish, or whatever the fuck else. If you're any of those nationalities, and you're Muslim... I mean, cool? Good for you? Don't really care. My issue is not with the color of your skin nor the flag you pledge allegiance to. My issue is that you suspend logical and critical thinking to have faith in ideas that make no sense.
And, to be even more specific, my issue is really with the ideas themselves more than the person who holds them. As it's been said before, respect the person, hate the religion. Religion is like a plague. It's infecting people. It's gross.
Not to mention, I find it ironic for you to call me a bigot for criticizing Islam, but not Christianity. It seems like you're cherry-picking quite a bit there.
So I'm not sure if you're aware of what you're doing but you're just hoping to hide behind this whole, "You're a racist scheme" so you don't actually have to defend your own ideas, or if you've actually been brainwashed enough to think what you're saying is actually true.
Criticizing Islam =/= bigotry.
Killing folks for being trans or gay because it goes against your religion however... = bigotry.
