I’m complaining about having to choose one or the other in the richest country on earth. I think it’s a pretty shitty fucking deal.

If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
Many of the restaurants where I live have gone to pickup and delivery only. Thanks in part to social media, some of them are doing a booming business. Now that dining rooms can open to 25% capacity, several have decided to just keep their dining rooms closed for now.
I've been impressed with how these mom and pop places have changed up their business models and they now thrive and grow their businesses through all this. It's been quite the display of adaptability. Some of the places did little to no carryout food prior to the pandemic. I have a list of three that I see mentioned frequently on a local Facebook page set up for our town's restaurants that I want to try. Two of them I didn't even know existed before all this. One's an Italian place, one's an authentic Mexican place, and the other is a little bit of everything place. Here in Texas where the governor is opening things up pretty quickly, the town where I live is taking a much more cautious path...thanks in large part to our mayor and city council being truly concerned about the citizens.
Pick up and delivery aren’t exactly rocket science.

If you've not done it before and are thrust into it there is a learning curve and also stocking of appropriate supplies. But go ahead and be pissy...seems to be your thing. The problem with most giant corporations, isn't that the job is easy to learn, but in that the bean counters and CEOs most of the time create conditions for workers that are impossible. If you get bad service the most likely culprit isn't the employee, but the protocol thrust on the employee that sets impossible standards. Business far too often take a utopian scenario and applies that to even when it is slam busy.
They put the food in to-go boxes and sell it

Yes I have.
It’s hard af to run a restaurant It’s just one crazy clusterfuck after the next You gotta be able to figure out problems fast as shit even when you’re dead tired The logistics are also insane I’m just a dude who knows a shitload of recipes - I’m shitty problem solver I’m just in the mood to shit on the industry It deserves it tbh No sick days No health care Don’t work don’t eat Sick of it I also want to say mom and pop are just as greedy as the corporate cunts They just haven’t accumulated the same wealth Restaurant owners work hard af until they can pawn it off to managers But they expect people who aren’t paid enough to even fucking live to work like they do Fuck them And fucking having to risk my life
Quite the pity party going on here.
Wait, don't tell me, ................. it's not your fault.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
