Had a harrowing weekend at work. We're short on CNAs, so the nurses had to do CNA duty since the CNA cannot have more than twenty residents.

And twenty residents sounds like a fucking lot for one person.
I'm so glad I don't work in aged care anymore. :-)

Yeah. Twenty, even for overnight, is a lot. The issue is that I cannot possibly provide the quality care each resident needs.

To be honest, I'm just sick of that ward atmosphere that aged homes always seem to have...and the smell.
And when you do care about the patients, it's so hard to work with so many people who don't.
And of course what KitKat said about not being able to provide quality care on an equal basis for all.
And the private institutions bleeding old people dry.
