I do not believe in astrology. And I discount what people have to say on other things if they say they do believe in astrology. Because if they believe in this irrationality - even after being explained how astrology is bunk - means they are unable to rationally account for other stuff as well. Even if someone believes in astrology and say they believe in evolution as well, means they believe in evolution on shaky ground, i.e. by chance, and not because they have a firm understanding what evolution is. If someone, that does know how a scientific discipline is put together, then they also could apply a similar rationality on astrology and reason that it made no sense.
I've always considered astrology to be nothing but bullshit. I was once, through a dating service, referred to a woman who took astrology seriously. When she started casting my horoscope to see if we were compatible, I told her that any woman I dated would have to have more than she did in the way of intelligence. I thanked her for her time and ended the conversation.

I don't know if my college housemate believed astrology had any merit in itself, but he took it very seriously. He was short but very good looking, looked like a stereotypical California surfer in miniature. I thought that alone accounted for the startling number of women he brought home after his childhood sweetheart (our other housemate) broke up with him. Then I saw him try to seduce an engaged friend of mine and astrology figured heavily in his approach. She did believe in astrology. My friend never came over again because she wasn't sure she could trust herself to continue to resist him.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
