Pre-Amazon Prime: ‘They said shipping would take 8-10 days, and my package arrived in eight. Score!’
Post-Amazon Prime: ‘Just ordered cat coasters. If they don’t get here in less than 24 hours, I’m going to kill myself.’

Hollywood movie "culture" is a farce. Movie critics nowadays wouldn't know a good movie apart from the bland cookie-cutter scripts that get all the praise even if it showed at their doorstep and upon opening the door they got a kick in the balls.

It looks less like Versailles than the crib of a pimp with an overinflated ego and a 2 inch dick....

I guess my sewing machine is a COVID fatality - or it soon will be. I have been sewing masks for weeks and have a bunch more cut out and still more fabric for after that. My machine is wheezing it's last.
Can't really complain as it was pretty inexpensive when I bought it at the PX back in 1987...I certainly got my money out it over the years.
New machine is ordered and should arrive Sunday. In the meantime I will manage to get a few more masks done by either talking sweetly or swearing mightily at the machine.

Too late now, but maybe it just needs oiling. If a sewing machine sits, the oil congeals. More frequent use actually makes it work better, as the oil stays "softer", if you will. Take it out in the sun for about an hour, and bring it back in to see if it sews better. Your mechanic husband may have some ideas about oiling?
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Three years ago I was in the ICU recovering from a "widow maker" heart attack.
Was happy to get good news on a medical test the other day because September tends to suck for me when it comes to medical issues. It was September 30, 2009 when I got the call that I had breast cancer.

It 's always weird to me
A BLM protesters commits and an act of violence all of a sudden all protesters are violent rioters and thugs . Despite BLM not being centralized and no one being able to prove the person was protester or BLM
A Cop commits an act of violence and all of a sudden bad apples etc etc
Interesting standard if course it's all a narrative . But still interesting .
