As a general rule of thumb I think dead people should stay dead.

I would really like it for Roger Ebert to come back. I've been watching the old episodes of Siskel & Ebert on youtube and really miss these guys commenting on new movies. So when the singularity comes I hope the AI recreates their personalities perfectly and brings back their show.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

HM3 Ho. I never got to say "thank you."
This guy:
Jimi Hendrix Fernando, you say: I am going to instigate a riot here. While I love him, I love Vernon Reid of "Living Color" far more. Hendrix certainly laid the groundwork for Vernon to do what he did, but if I am going to place bets on who can burn an axe at blazing speed, I put Vernon above Hendrix. Yes, I know, that is music blasphemy I hear: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, my meth addled brain has failed me yet again. My knowledge of musical talent is less than zero. As states in a previous thread, you are certainly entitled to prefer Reid over Hendrix. However, when it come to overall talent Reid couldn't even carry Jimi's amp. Reid is in no way, shape, or form in the same league as Hendrix. Now sure, there are guitarists like Satriani, Vai, Malmsteen, and most assuredly Buckethead, who unquestionably manipulate the fretboard in ways that Hendrix could not. Although, none of them would exist without Hendrix. Jimi completely reinvented the instrument. He ultimately changed the way the people saw what the instrument was capable of. Quite simply put, there is guitar work before the emergence of Hendrix, and then there is guitar work after. Perhaps you need to see some sort of specialist, maybe they can help you dislodge your head from your ass.
