This is a good example of something that's true, but that it's truth does not engender any conclusion for which it's assertion is leveraged. Sure, uv kills alot of things. So does washing your hands - but, obviously, the sunlight hasn't kept the plague from running through places like florida.

It's also wrong as you can catch COVID outdoors it's simply less common due to air circulation. Of course, that goes down if you start cramping people together over an extended period of time. And stay-at-home orders make perfect sense otherwise it's not really a lockdown.

They are both biologists, discussing the evidence. What is your problem with what they are saying exactly? Do you just disagree because Don Lemon and Anderson Cooper said so? Have you actually looked into studies showing that what I posted is incorrect? Can you back up your thoughts about this? Where is your evidence showing that covid variants appear to transmit outdoors, and where is your evidence showing that sunglight or UV light doesn't help?

Hmmm...it didn't go away last summer. Maybe the sun will be more effective this year.

It's conditional. Yes, Covid spreads far less outdoors because open spaces mean it's harder for droplets carrying the virus to reach a target, And yes direct sunlight can render the virus dormant. However...
1. Long term exposure to an infected person can still spread the virus
2. Touching infected objects can still spread it.
3. Inactive doesn't mean dead.
So relying on this is dodgy at best.
