Sometimes, while researching stuff on the interwebz, I'll run across a scholarly article. For some reason, I always mentally put 'Harry Potter and...' ahead of the title. For example, 'Harry Potter And The Effects Of Salt Water Intrusion On Non-Saline Micro-biospheres In Southern Asia'.

Doing the marketing tomorrow, so I was checking the pantry to see what spices we need. We have black/white/cayenne pepper, cardamom, anise, cloves, saffron, cinnamon, nutmeg, mace, coriander, and a few others.
If I had this stuff 500 years ago, I could have bought a small duchy.

The fax machine was patented in 1843.
Abraham Lincoln died in 1865.
The samurai warrior class wasn’t abolished until 1876.
This means there was a 22 year period when a samurai warrior could theoretically have sent a fax to Abraham Lincoln.

This show is clearly full of straight boys, because not a single one of them can dance.

Scientists suggest the universe might be a giant 4D donut. When I was 14, I thought the donut shape was the basis of physical reality. Their reasons may be different from what mine were, I don't know.

I thought the same thing at that age.... But it had to do with an early morning visit to Dunkin Doughnuts and 4 hits of some funky blotter acid.....

Clearly, the rules of baseball has changed, or I never properly paid attention during mandatory practice in high school.
But I don't remember it being a thing where the pitcher could throw the ball anywhere except toward the batter. Apparently, it's a thing where he can throw it at one of the bases to prevent a player from stealing a base.
Dumb.
