But isn't earning any amount of millions of dollars too much/ wrong if you are making them off a guy that had no money, and told everyone not just to have no money, but not to have any possessions as well?
Seriously, Christians behave like Jesus words of selling everything you have and giving it to the poor are some lunatic rant - which they certainly are - but then again, if you call yourself a Christian, and in the case of WLC you supposedly devote your life preaching Jesus' teaching, but at the same time have millions of dollars - then it is all just superficial posing and addition that Jesus was a lunatic.

My dad had a company pension, so he didn't have to save up millions. It doesn't work that way any more.
I've been part of 2 startups which both exited. So, yeah, I've got money for retirement, but I don't know how most people do it, if they work for someone else. Whenever I open the retirement advice column of my newspaper, the scenarios are all "Bob and Cathy have 3.5 million in assets and want to spend $120,000 per year and give money to their kids - will that work?". I say "WTF, I thought I was doing well, but every single scenario is for people who are richer than me. I guess I totally missed the boat".

I've got a company pension (they phased it out, new employees can't get it) and a 401K but I'll be lucky if they're worth $750,000 combined when I retire at 62 in 2024. I'll have an income and I should be okay with Social Security added in, but I'll have to qualify for Medicare or my medical insurance will fuck me.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

That's what I never liked about WLC. And there are plenty of theist/Christian philosophers whom I love. But WLC ain't one of 'em. He's an apologist first, and a truth seeker second. (Is he really even a truth seeker?) Probably not. I wanna give him the benefit of the doubt, but he lets me down time and again with shit like this.
