Now I'm hearing that some conservatives are claiming that liberals have been pushing vaccines to "trick" conservatives into rejecting them so that they will die from Covid.  Sort of reverse psychology.  Can this really be true?

Perhaps Liberals should rally against jumping off cliffs?

I mentioned earlier the theory one of the guys where my husband works has. Those who get vaccinated are actually giving the virus to the unvaccinated. That's the plan.

It's been announced that the Kroger grocery chain is going to require masks for employees, vendors, and customers. And not just in their stores but also in their admin and corporate offices. Good for them! I shop there and haven't been inside in months, instead using the online ordering/pickup option. Husband gets his prescriptions filled there and says that he sees fewer masks every time he goes in. If more business do what certain public officials won't, it can only help.

Well, lookee here, I'm a descendant of Charlemagne!   Like many people I know claim.

Of course, I'm joking. I've no interest in being that inbred.

Well, lookee here, I'm a descendant of Charlemagne!   Like many people I know claim.

Of course, I'm joking. I've no interest in being that inbred.

The thing is, they're almost certainly right. Why? Because it turns out if you have any European ancestry, one of those ancestors is almost certainly Charlemagne. And this isn't hyperbole; this appears to be a fact of genetics and genealogy. For what it's worth, my Dad has found at least two lines of ancestry with a direct line to Charlemagne.

So, they're flat-out admitting that they're contrarian to the point where they're okay with dying if it means they'll own the libs?

Vaccinated or not, in reality, it still spreads. The difference is when vaccinated and wearing a mask, any shedding by the vaccinated will not lead to lethal spread to the point those who catch it end up in the ER. But if you are not vaccinated and don't wear a mask you are at far higher risk of ending up in the ER or death.

It is possible to carry COVID even after vaccination. It is also possible to shed COVID even after being vaccinated. Vaccinations are not utopias. BUT THEY ARE greater insurance that having such, you wont end up in the ER under threat of death, and even if you carry and shed, you wont be spreading a deadly variant. 

I love the sane who are vaccinated. But being vaccinated myself, I still wear a mask. Not because I am afraid of my own health. But because we are still in a pandemic, and I don't want a variant to have a platform to spread.

Thus the giggle. I know about the genetics, but when people make that claim as if they were some sort of royalty because of it, I have to laugh. I have no pretensions of being royal, and would be a republican in the UK, if I understand the term correctly, as used there. I realize that the royals attract money for the realm, but I hope that I'm never in that company; I would never kneel, like "Sir Ronnie" did.

That's my market (called Bakers here in hickville). It was about 50/50 last time I was in, looking forward to the next time with this news.

They've had rules before with no enforcement.
