Hi everyone! So my name is Brooke, I am a graduate student in a seminary program.
I have an assignment that involves interviewing a non-believer (preferably an atheist), who is in a STEMM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine). I did have a doctor lined up, but that doctor has backed out on me last minute. I found this site through a google search and really hope (and yes, pray! lol) that someone may be so kind as to help me with this. It won't take long at all, and it is NOT a covert evangelism project! This is STRICTLY an information-gathering interview. I am just looking for clarity, not agreement. If you're interested, please send me a message. We can do the interview over the phone, skype or zoom, or even by email or messages. Thank you so much in advance if anyone out there is willing to help!

I actually live in the Bible belt, finding an atheist (or someone willing to admit they are an atheist) is quite difficult. The doctor I had lined up was the only person I knew...also, it can't be just anyone. The person has to work in a STEMM field.

I apologize if I broke a rule here by asking this. If it needs to be removed, then so be it. Brewer, if it were feasible for me to interview an atheist IRL I would be doing so. I have went all the common sense routes. For my own reasons, I am led to look on the internet at this point in time. If you are unable to help, that is okay. Thank you anyway.

I think that it is feasible for you but requires more effort. I also think that you like the separation and anonymity that the internet provides.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
Please note that you are welcome to stay here and engage in discussion with members. Though I must say there are surely atheists where you live...we are pretty much everywhere. Look for local atheist groups or freethought groups in your area...though I will say that I prefer not to be someone's lab rat.
