Didn't you also go to Catholic school? Was there a locker with the number 666 or did they go over that number?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I did go to Catholic school...not sure about the locker number, but probably not...I don't think there were that many students.  HAHA!  I feel certain they'd have skipped it had there been that many lockers.

Lindsey Graham asked and pressed judge Jackson about her religion, violating the religious test clause in Constitution.

Jordan Peterson claims that women should not make their own decision when it comes to having children. To him, women are (dumb) children who haven't read enough books, and it is all fault of our pathological society that allows women to choose to have or not to have children.

So we were not allowed to question Amy Berets' religious views. But Republicans apparently are allowed to do that.

Democrats asked if Amy Beret could be objective as a judge in a case where her Catholic values were in play. A congress critter asking a nominee about their religion doesn't trigger the religious test clause, they would have to cite it as the reason for their vote...and they're not going to do that.

It's more objectionable that Lindsey was such an asshole about it (and in general about his whole line of questioning), but that probably played well here in SC.

The Easter Bunny is the devil.

A church canceled a venue where kids could get their picture taken with the fabled holiday creature.

It is. Or a devil, if you like. It's a holdover from germanic paganism - but then again, so is the name of the holiday. Grimm pegged it as the sacred animal of the spring goddess.

Grimm was probably mistaken. Hares and rabbits were associated with virginity and rebirth since before the Christian Era. There’s really no evidence that rabbits/hares were sacred to Eostre/Ostara.

In the case of the easter hare, those beliefs persisted long after the point at which they would have been associated with Eostre as a fertility goddess, and into christianized populations.

-I do also like the explanation that there was never any connection between easter bunnys and paganism before the 1890's..too...though. I'm not sure which one would satisfy me more if we could know for sure.
