Other birth control is banned? The religious concept that sex is only for the purpose of reproduction?
We are not heading in the right direction.
It makes me glad my reproductive days are over but I have grandchildren who could be dealing with these issues up close and personal.

Exactly, issues are like horses. You ride them. To put a silver lining on a dark cloud...if they manage to get this done, the catholics and the evengelicals will have a mission accomplished moment - they banded together on this so that evangelicals could get disproportionate representation, and catholics could finally solve the catholic issue. If they're done, they'll go back to the way they were (and mad marge is telegraphing that). Each claiming that the other is both evil and a threat to the nation. No reason to pal around with luciferian papists, or pretend to be the allies of inbred redneck snake handlers.

Oh look, America moving backwards.
Don't think the religious right will stop with this, either. Or Same Sex Marriage for that matter. When they move on from those things, they'll look to ban other things too. And when people start crying about it then, well.. I'll tell them they were warned, but didn't listen. The more you let the religious nutjobs have power, the more emboldened they'll become to push their religion on everyone else.
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.

It makes me glad my reproductive days are over but I have grandchildren who could be dealing with these issues up close and personal. There is noise that "abortive" birth control - IUDs or morning after pills will be targeted....
Apparently these dimbulbs believe that Jesus hangs out in the corner of your bedroom waiting for the moment of conception - so he can jump in and ram a soul into the conceptus like a fucking inverse jack in the box.......

Most people assume that the leak is by a Democratic activist, but I'm not so sure. The reality is that the leak guarantees that the backers of the draft can't backtrack now. This will be close to the final draft.
The leak actually IS as bad for the SCOTUS as Republicans claim. If interim decisions become publicized, it makes it impossible for them to work without direct political interference.

Why? Outlawing abortion was always the bait that garbage politicians used to hook political capital that they could exchange for cash to any company that wanted a tax cut. They're gonna have to find a new con now. Abortion becoming illegal will be absolute hell for anti abortion nuts..and I don't mean in not being able to access abortions (they still will). There was actually a bill in Texas last year that said that any abortion that happened after fertilisation should be punishable by death. And this capital punishment isn't just for the abortionist, but for the mother. And given that their starting point is from fertilisation, given how many pregnancies just miscarry even before women are any the wiser (often because the sperm unites with the egg but can't implant itself in the womb), it looks like, if you've had sex more than two times without getting pregnant, there's a good chance you're no better than Frances Newton to them.
It's worth noting that, while a lot of people think that abolishing Roe would just send America back to the Pre-Roe years, it looks like the situation will actually be worse than that for women. Those days, the laws tended to presuppose that the woman in the situation was being preyed upon by wicked back-alley abortionists or other abusive men, so it was the doctors who would be on the hook for the most part. By this point, it looks like the "Pro-Life" side has come around to assuming that women have some moral agency in this situation in the worst way possible: if they have an abortion, they're on the hook for it, and that's about it for them. Any rights they have are subordinated to the rights their fetus has, and when the vast majority of abortions take place, its brain is functionally little more than an organic pacemaker if that. So, the rights of a woman (an autonomous woman) are trumped by the rights of a being that (at this point) is functionally brain-dead. There was some benevolent sexism in the earlier laws, but now, they've decided the thing to do is drop the benevolence.
