Not the French kind?

Did you appear angry to see if they'd surrender?

What's that aboot?

I guess you'd need to ask IA. Good luck with a rational response.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre implies the existence of other state-specific chainsaw massacres.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

As I get older, I seem to have developed what I'm calling 'pre-annoyed-dar' - I'm able to tell in advance when someone is about to piss me directly off.

Monkey in "bullet-proof" vest found dead after bloody cartel shootout in Mexico

Quote:Mexican narcos' fascination with exotic animals was on display this week after a spider monkey dressed up as a drug gang mascot was killed in a shootout, a 450-pound tiger wandered the streets in the Pacific coast state of Nayarit, and a man died after trying to pet a captive tiger in a cartel-dominated area of western Michoacan state.

Like scenes out of a narco television series, exotic animals have been long been part of the Mexican criminal underworld.

Photos from the scene of a shootout Tuesday in Texcaltitlan with police in which 11 drug gang members died, showed a small monkey - dressed in a tiny camouflage jacket and a tiny "bullet-proof" vest - sprawled across the body of a dead gunman who was apparently his owner.

Willie has never really been all the concerned about the law and Texans love him.

Bought a jar of treatment for my hair a couple months ago from Amazon. The jar was in a box about the thickness of a cereal box and then put in a plastic bag. Along the way to my house the jar was broken as there was nothing protecting it. Kind of a mess, but they did replace it...again shipping it in a plastic bag but it arrived unscathed.

Today I got a cardboard box from Amazon that held two packages of batting for quilts. Whew - thank goodness they protected that fabric by putting bags of air in the box. smh

Now, if you could just get the hair treatment and the batting at the same time, with the batting on the outside...yes, a person can dream.  Hehe My wife is off to a quilting retreat for a few days. Not sure about what she's retreating from, she retired months ago.  Huh

A friend from high school has a quilting business and I see her announcements about quilting retreats.  I retreat just fine in my office/sewing room watching TV or listening to podcasts or audiobooks.  Retreat for me means no people...just the dogs and me.  LOL
