Yes, it does, which is why you were able to occupy Afghanistan for 20 years in the first place, and Biden stealing billions of dollars from Afghanistan causing its' civilians to starve does not even benefit the United States of America at all on a geo-political level, and it's just cruel to let these people starve to death, and I don't care if it offends you that I bring up millions of starving people. If you don't care about these starving people, move along and don't comment. And you do know what might makes right actually means, right? Right, in that sense, does not mean moral. How am I stuck in the 19th century? Russia has nukes. That kind of matters when considering our response to these types of matters. Maybe we shouldn't provoke them when they have nukes. If Ukraine has to sacrifice a few pieces of their land that Russia wants and agrees to never join NATO, that sounds fair. I can't really see a better solution outside of prolonged war where too many Ukranians and Russians die. Is that what you want? Do you want Ukraine to fight to the last man or you think it's worth all the death to bleed Russia's finances out a bit and try to beat them by making them go broke? Is that the strategy here?

Morality not really being a part of geo-politics is just the truth, but that doesn't mean we can't still criticize politicians or military generals, etc. I have no problem criticizing Putin for his actions, but I can also see how the West and Ukraine with their missteps helped bring this disaster into fruition.

1. Weather Russia has nukes or not doesn't mean they get to do as they please. And whether it's the 19th century or the 21st century the lesson remains the same don't ever appease bullies because when you do they simply demand more because you have shown they can get away with it.

2. Ukraine can join any international organization it wants and if Russia doesn't like that it can go pound sand. What you proposing isn't rational and no self-respecting nation would agree to it. Furthermore, Putin was always going to do this as he's made it clear he doesn't believe Ukraine should be a nation apart from Russia, and that always puts Ukraine's security in question and is a totally justified reason for seeking allies.

3. The only people responsible for the deaths is Russia and their unwillingness to let go of the delusion they are still the Soviet Union and they have some right to tell their neighbors what to do 

4. The west and Ukraine did nothing wrong Ukraine has every right to join the international community and through off a pro-Russian dictator and the west has every right to make alliances with whoever they want and if Putin doesn't like it then tough cookies he's not the king of the world

We're very committed to the truth aren't we. Here's a truth. Putin himself has said otherwise, which ought to clear up any misunderstandings...but some people...you know?

I find it laughable that anyone believes that russia will ever win this war. They lost it the moment they retreated in disgrace and disarray from kyiv...if it's not even more accurate to say that they lost it the moment they stepped foot in ukraine with the army they brought. Their goals in tatters, the reputation of their forces and the marketability of their weapons, severely degraded. It appears to have been a colossal, nearly inexplicable blunder...but then again, competence is not now nor has it ever been a job requirement in authoritarian regimes.
