RE: Anti-Hijab movment in Iran
(From The Wall Street Journal)
About 15,000 demonstrators are being detained in Iran. About 2000 of these are accused of having had a “central role” in these protests. 164 of these have been put on trial and have received several sentences. 11 of these have received death penalty. They have been accused of “corruption on earth” and “war against God” (PBS News) or “Being an enemy of God” (TWSJ – Difference in translation).
- I’m going to comment on this later.

“The Committee for Follow-Up on the Status of Detainees, a transnational group that tracks political detentions in Iran, said it had identified 42 journalists and 65 children who had been arrested for their participation in the protests” (TWSJ)

- There are several reports of rape and torture in places like the Evin Prison and in some other underground facilities. Real Atrocities are being committed, especially on women (that are comparable to the reports of torture after the military putsch of the 12th of September 1980 in Turkey).

“Authorities subject detainees to mistreatment, torture and coerced confessions,” said Tara Sepehri Far, a researcher at New York-based Human Rights Watch. “The trials fall grossly short of fair trial standards.” (TWSJ)

- Some protesters are on trial for espionage charges because they “collaborated with foreign forces to overthrow the ‘Islamic’ Regime.

- Iceland and Germany are calling for a special session at the United Nations Human Rights Council over the situation in Iran to address the situation of women and girls in Iran in recent protests. Olaf Scholz is in favor of a new round sanctions against the regime.

- My comment on the words used by the regime that I put with bold characters: I am not a scholar, not even a knowledgeable person on religious issues. Yet
1) On “Corruption on Earth” one may read the first 18 verses of the Section 92/2 of the Holy Book (Bakara Section) here: https://quran.com/2
It goes on saying: “This is the Book…for those who are aware of God… and who believe in what has been revealed to you by the Prophet…”
And it goes on like this: “As for those who persist in disbelief, it is the same whether you warn them or not—they will never believe. God has sealed their hearts and their hearing, and their sight is covered. They will suffer a tremendous punishment… (these people will say) “We believe in God and in the final judgment” yet, They are not true believers.”

And it goes on like this: “They seek to deceive Allah and the believers, yet they only deceive themselves, but they fail to perceive it.” (Verse 2:9)

And than like this: “There is sickness in their hearts, and Allah ˹only˺ lets their sickness increase. They will suffer a painful punishment for their lies.” (verse 2.10)

And Verse 2:11: “When they are told, “Do not spread corruption in the land,” they reply, “We are only peace-makers!”
Comment: Those who are spreading corruption on earth (Like the Regime in Iran) are claiming to be the peacekeeper and are blaming the opposite side (like the demonstrators in Iran) to be spreading corruption on earth (Says the Holy Book itself in 92/2/11)

2.12: “Indeed, it is they who are the corruptors, but they fail to perceive it.” (just go and click on the link above and see for yourselves Smile )

2.13: “And when they are told, “Believe as others believe,” they reply, “Will we believe as the fools believe?” Indeed, it is they who are fools, but they do not know.”

2.16: “They are the ones who trade guidance for misguidance. But this trade is profitless, and they are not ˹rightly˺ guided.”

And this section goes on and on. It is one of the longest sections of the Muslim Holy Book. But what is described here (in my definition) is the issue of blasphemy / polytheism. In short those who play God on earth or pretend to be acting in the name of God in order to be able to play God on earth. So this is my definition of “corruption on earth”. So technically they should go ahead and condemn themselves for their crimes of “corruption on earth” if they are true believers in Islamic Law. So I am seriously waiting for their final verdict. Smile

2) “War against God” is something that is also mentioned in the Old Testament. In short it is the Story of Ramses versus Moses (and all other similar stories that are also present in the Koran). So who is the God-King here? Who is Ramses here and who is the Jewish people who is saying “Ramses will you let us go?”
(Let’s not mix up everything shall we)

3) “Being an enemy of God” is an even deeper issue. It means to not be the enemy of your true self. That is to have a degree of respect of the universal existential being within every human being. (That includes those being tortured at the Evin Prison in this very moment)

So all I can say is: “Just turn the channel”, just press the button, they don’t even know what they are talking about. There is a saying France « L’habit ne fait pas le moine » (You can’t be a pastor just by looking like a pastor). So all they have is their beard, their tabard, their turban, their prayer beads, their superficial reciting of some verses (without understanding a single word of it – I’m not saying this – Verse 2:8 and 2:9 is saying this). So it’s just a waste of time. They might have called these poor people “Nazis” or “separatist fanatics” (reference to Taiwan and the PRC). Still in the eyes of the Holy Book they are exactly what I say they are. And I will debate this with anyone who says otherwise: I have this first one Book. Than I have other books, than I have even more books and comments made by prominent scholars who will all agree that what is being done in that contry is described as Shirk (polytheism / blasphemy) and as oppression (Tr. Rel. Zulum).
RE: Anti-Hijab movment in Iran
The religion of peace is about to inspire another bloodbath.

The Iranian parliament voted overwhelmingly (227-63) to execute the 15,000 protesters they already arrested.

These were peaceful protestors simply seeking the right to basic justice and autonomy.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

RE: Anti-Hijab movment in Iran
Not the 15,000 protesters they arrested (they would need gas chambers for that – they are not there yet - Smile )

Quote:
“On November 13, an unidentified protester received the death penalty in the first instance of that sentence coming in the trials against people who were arrested for demonstrating. Five others were given jail time between five and 10 years, according to state media Mizan.

Iran Human Rights warned that "at least 20 protesters are currently facing charges punishable by death per official reports" and it has expressed its concerns that the Iranian government might move hastily with the executions.”

- Still, these are 21 death by pharaonic decree.

There are many names that are given to such people in the Holy book. The word “pharaoh” is mentioned 74 times in the Scriptures (It’s not a reference to any direct historical personality or civilization but it features some of the main characteristics of what is described as what I would call “inhuman way of ruling”). Another word to define such usurpers of political power by mean of religious belief is “Taghout” (Ar.: “Those who go beyond measure”), another is Nimrod / Tyrant (Tr. Zalim), waste and extravagance is described as one the key features of such personalities who are being referred to as “Musrif”, The Clergy who sides with such rulers are referred to as “Hamun” (Like the Amun-Ra priests of ancient Egyptian Pharaoh’s), The wealthy and powerful classes who walk hand in hand with such dictatorial rulers are referred to as the “Karun” (These are all Arabic terms who have all deeper symbolism in them). The whole dictatorial way of ruling is describing (in a book that I am currently reading) as a sadomasochistic relation between the ruled and the ruler, and the Holy Book puts the blame (as a greater sin) on any one who decides to remain silent and not assume responsibility when faced with such a tyrannical way of ruling. Silent consent to such a rule means to become an enemy of God (for there is but one God and you are to make a choice between the two “entities”. This type of religion is described as “Din-ül-Melik” or “The religion of the Monarch” (12/76). While the term “evliya” refers to a “friend of God” (a Saint) such persons are being referred to as “friends of the Devil” (in many verses) – Not the protesters, rulers who use religion as a way to strengthen their own tyranny -. “Raiyye” is the Arabic term used to describe animal flocks or herds of animals. The Holy books uses this term to describe the followers of despotic rulers and is clearly says “Do not transform yourselves into animal flocks” (2.104). A key feature of such regime is that it is based on the personal feeling of worthlessness of the supporters of such regimes and that such individuals who are deprived of a feeling of self-worth, are seeking greater personal achievement by joining the mass movements that are created by such despotic rulers (Erich Fromm – Escape from freedom). Last phrase: The Qur’anic description on this is “They were the ones who were oppressing their true selves”. There are also references to sold out Media-outlets, propagandists, trolls and brainwashers who are working for such groups of rulers. In the story of Moses, these are the charmers whose snakes are being devoured by the scepter of Moses (that is a symbolic for truth prevailing over lies according to some interpretations of this allegoric story). “Mushrik” or “those who commit the sin of “shirk”” is the other term I have mentioned here. This refers to God-Kings or to some “rulers” who receive messages from God or who understand God better than anyone else or who try to make a place for themselves in the 100% personal relation between the individual and the divine (again there are references to that too). Also, in the Story of Moses the prophet is being accused by the “Hamun”(s) of having the intention of “creating corruption on earth” (like the “corruption on Earth” trial of Iran) (A’Raf - 10. 127). Another term used for the ruling class of religious dictatorships is “Tugyan” and means “Those who go very far in oppression, blasphemy, not knowing their true selves, extremism and extravagance). They are described in many places as liers, deceivers and cheaters / conspirators against the ordinary people who have a clear feeling of supremacy toward the ordinary man. The team of charmers, magicians, wealthy class and clergy around the pharaoh are referred to as “Mele” or the “entourage” of the pharaoh. “al” refers to the close servant (bureaucrats etc.) of the pharaoh. “Deb” refers to “tradition” as in the clergy who is struggling to oppress the people in the name of “Deb” or what is called “our ways”. And (Bakara) 2/193 “There is no enmity against anyone bu against those who fall into the mistake of committing oppression (or “Zulum”) and no enemy but tyrants / oppressors (Ar. Zalim)”.

Those willing to do more research on this may refer to this very serious Turkish Scholar (Yasar Nuri Ozturk – and the Book is called “The Pharaoh / A guide to recognizing modern pharaoh’s) whose works are being described in this website: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ya%C5%9Far...zt%C3%BCrk
- I think some of these books should be accessible in English through University Libraries But unfortunately as there are many good English books who are just not available in Turkish language, the opposite is also true.

/ So again, the current number is death penalty verdicts in Iran may be 21. But if my limited / humble research is valid. Than the number should increase. I agree with the Iranian parliament on that. And they should be tough too. Why aren’t they being tough? Smile

He didn't say they were in the Quran, he said in the religion of Islam, which is sufficiently fuzzily bordered to make his claims arguably true. Maybe not your religion of Islam, but that's a No True Scotsman argument and fails by that account.

RE: Anti-Hijab movment in Iran
The people of Iran are still raising their voice on what is now the anniversary of the “Bloody November” repressions of 2019. Women in the Metro are refusing to wear headscarves and are being beaten with batons by people who look like security forces. Headscarves are being burned in the metro and people keep demonstrating with slogans like “death to the dictator”.

RE: Anti-Hijab movment in Iran
There are fires in several parts of Teheran and the home of Ayatolah Homeini was torched, in the metro station women are chanting “I am a free woman, you are the pervert, you the whore”.

Second video in the reuters link bellow:
- These tear gas grenades are very dangerous. If it come from above it can land right in the middle of the crowd a few second after a sound that resembles gunshot. But if it is fired directly on you it can crush bones and take away eyes (like it happened to many people in Turkey in May / August 2013). When it falls on the ground you need gloves to pick it up and throw it back at the people who look like security forces. In the second video, the “police” seems to be doing the same thing. If I saw correctly are picking up the projectiles and throwing it back at the protesters.
