Yes.  The young people I wrote of in the post you quoted all know more than you about history and wouldn't consider recent history obscure knowledge.  What historical events would be relevant to a discussion of why we have police and what would be the consequences of doing away with them?  Has there ever been a period of history where capitalists operated unregulated?  What was the result of that?

As far as I know, real anarcho-capitalism has never been tried. There has never been a country where most people believed in anarcho-capitalism. Unlike for communism, there have been multiple times and places where most people actually believed in communism... with bad consequences.

There has never actual communist country and nothing bad that has happened in countries that supposedly communist countries were not because of a belief in communism. And capitalism has caused plenty of awful things..... Dodgy

You didn't answer the question.  That indicates you either don't know the answer or don't wish to admit that unregulated capitalism has a history of bad consequences.

Well, it certainly didn't help that Stalin proclaimed Lysenkoism to be in concordance with Marxism. It also didn't help that China tried to implement equal distribution of food, which made the broken statistical system so disasterous. Had they had free market capitalism, the broken statistical system would not have such disasterous consequences. So, I would argue that communism is at least partly to blame for the famines.
What famines is capitalism to blame for?

I don't know that unregulated capitalism has any history.

Early on in the United States, there was little regulation. Antitrust laws are slightly over a century old now.

What famines is capitalism to blame for?

Multiple famines in Ireland, Ethiopia, Bengal, Doji Bara, Chalisa, China (pre- Communist), Russia (ditto), England, and on and on.

Stalin was a fucking liar and Lysenkoism had nothing to do with Marxism

Quote:It also didn't help that China tried to implement equal distribution of food, which made the broken statistical system so disasterous.
China's flawed statistical system had nothing to do with communism

Capitalism has caused plenty of famines

Nope

Quote:What famines is capitalism to blame for?
The commodification of food which is capitalist through and through when there is more than enough to feed everyone is caused by capitalism. Also all the ones Boru lists...

Really? I thought anti-trust laws were as old as the constitution. But let's say you are right.
What disasterous consequences did the unregulated capitalism in 19th century US have? It's only when the government started massively intervening in the economy (federal reserve...) that you get the Great Depression. And, even then, life in the semi-capitalist US during the Great Depression was way better than life in the Soviet Union at the time.
