Also, for obvious reasons (I'm a dude and my GF is a body pillow), I did not know that tampons are going for $2 a pop.

This guy is two years late with this video lol nobody cares about Kaitlin Bennett or Liberty Hangout anymore.

This guy allegedly lived to be 138 (although the photo says 132 his grave says 138)

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

The Vikings never wore horned helmets; the first historical reference to such was from Richard Wagner’s 19th century opera Der Ring des Nibelungen.

All available evidence to the contrary, I maintain that the Vikings DID have horns on their helmets. But the horns were on the inside, which is what made them so cranky.

Mastodon lets you export a list of your followees as a CSV file, something Twitter never had and sorely needed.

Just flip the server and user name, prepend https:// and append .rss to each line, and you've got a list of RSS feeds so you can catch up on what everybody is tooting.

I got a new, small, basic TCL for upstairs.  It's better than expected, and I love that it needs no box, just wi-fi.  Funny thing though, I still prefer the old Panasonic plasma downstairs.  I can't decide if I'm seeing accurately or being set in my ways.

My only TV is a 15 year-old 60" Panasonic 1080P plasma.  The only thing that comes close in black level and brightness is a QD OLED.  I'm waiting for them to drop below $2k for a high-quality 65" one.  It's getting close...

Another benefit with a plasma set, is that in the evening, I don't need to use the furnace as much.
Disappointing theists since 1968!
