The Quran is not the evidence.  The Quran is the claim.

It is the evidence, afterall the first book to mention the Big Bang was the Quran.

The only field in which the Quran would be evidence would be something like archaeology, where the scope of inquiry is the text itself, and the questions would be more along the lines of how far did Islam penetrate into the Philippines or somesuch.

Evidence of the origin of the universe is found in such things as the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation, or the ratio of helium to hydrogen in distant galaxies. 

Whatever you imagine the Quran says about cosmology, it remains a claim, simply because the Quran is traced to the 7th Century whereas the CMB goes back to 370,000 years after the universe was at maximum density.

In the past it was mere "leap of faith" and a "mysterious attraction" to the Quran that made me believe and preach the book; but lately I did find the exact verse that spoke directly about what we know as "The Big Bang":

Yes, the CMB and images of the Cosmos add a more interesting context, but a 1400 years old relic like the Quran took a massive shortcut and told us officially: "they sky & earth were 1 mass then BANG; split apart".

"Quite evident" is a pretty bold claim when nothing can emerge from inside without exceeding the speed of light.

Funny how nobody noticed the Quran mentioned the Big Bang until after a Belgian priest formulated the theory of the Big Bang.

Sort of reminds me of how the Tanakh said the firmament was made of beaten metal until we sent rockets out of the atmosphere, then all of a sudden the Tanakh said the firmament was really made of vapor.

If Hell is a black hole - as you claim - and the souls of the damned go to hell, then you’re claiming that the inside of a black hole contains the souls of the damned. And, apparently, a furnace of some sort.
