Stupid things religious people say

I'm pro-birth control, pro-abstinence, pro-anything that prevents pregnancy really. However, I believe that when the fetus (I don't really believe it's a "baby") starts forming, then the proper thing to do is give birth. I understand the adoption and foster care problems, and that's why I believe one of America's biggest concerns should be improving those.
I understand why people are pro-choice, I just disagree.

Then, you are pro-forced-birth.  A woman is merely a vessel for new life, and has no say in the matter after conception.

I have to wonder what basis you have for justify forced birth.  Something being "proper" is not an argument.

If pro life weren’t just a political euphemism….it would go something like “I think once there’s a fetus the proper thing to do is give birth- but it’s wildly improper to force a person to give birth.”

I’m pro life like that. People crafting fugitive uterus acts are not.

No, but I don't think that just makes me unable to have an opinion on the subject

Are you able to force a birth?

You can absolutely have an opinion.  But your opinion doesn't mean it should be law.

There is a large part of the abortion equation that is lost on those who cannot be forced to carry a pregnancy to term.

So god created a race of intelligent bipedal reptilians along with humans.

That would be so that there was at least one intelligent race on the planet. Pity it died out.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Satan took possession of Snake so he could piss off God incognito, then he said, "Adios motherfucker" and left the poor thing there legless, eating dust.

Snake said, "What the hell, man?"
