You know what I mean. How do you feel about the Islamic God?

It’s the same god. It’s as if you’re responding to someone saying, ‘I don’t like apples’ by asking, ‘Ok, but how do you feel about apples?’

It matters what the Bible says because people have a tendency to force other people to live according to what the Bible says. Pointing out the absurdities in the Bible is meant to show that this is a really stupid idea.

Your religious beliefs inform YOU as to what is right or wrong, good or bad, allowed or disallowed. They do not do the same for me.

But does it actually stop the forceful people from getting their way?

It's not the same God. The Bible is not the same as the Koran, e.g. there are different rules each book says its respective followers should follow.

Same god, full stop.

Not often enough. Ridiculing the ridiculous is a fight that needs fighting, whether it’s effective or not.

Well it's not effective at all. It's like using a glass of water to put out a house fire.

It’s actually somewhat effective, since I haven’t been forced to join a church. Be aware that any rights and freedoms you have are the results of secularism.

That must be a big book if it has taken this long to get to chapter 6.  OY!

I suspect he’s a slow reader. All that lip movement.

I read the Book of Mormon twice. I told the missionary about that and he seemed happy. Makes me feel bad about giving them the cold shoulder.
