Husband came in with the mail and said that Chewy .com must have made a mistake. There was a card addressed to me and the envelope said "Happy Birthday" on it. My birthday is in June. It is for Quinn - who is 6 today - and Harley will be a year old on Thursday. Though I don't use them as much as I used to, it's kind of nice that they make the effort to send cards for birthdays and Christmas. I don't care that it's automated...it's still a level of customer service that is fast disappearing.

I bought Nine Princes in Amber at bookstore in Callao, Peru, and had it read by the time we got to Buenos Aires. The ending pissed me off no end, but in a good way. "MORE! YES!" Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
NB: Zelazny and John Varley are quite similar. Varley's "Thunder and Lightning" quadrilogy and his "TITAN/WIZARD/DEMON" trilogy are among my favorites.

I had a couple things on auto refill but have found that I can actually save money using Amazon now for the kibble and going to Tractor Supply for the other item...the savings there is about 66% and very worth it. I need to remember to price check the kibble there. (October 14, 2023 at 8:44 pm)arewethereyet Wrote:(October 14, 2023 at 8:28 pm)brewer Wrote: We have the dog's kibble on auto refill. "kibble" is a funny word, I think.

If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Someone suggested looking there for pet supplies and it turns out that at least 1/3 of the store is pet supplies. And it's about 2 miles from my house so easy to add a stop when running errands. (And anyway, Quinn would faint. Loud noises make him woozy. Ziggy would just lay down and Harley would zoom around in figure 8s.)
So far, working at this new facility is so much less hectic than the other place.
